About Winter Birding By Snowshoe at Ashumet Holly...The winter birds of Ashumet are viewable by snowshoe during the snowy months of January and February. Long Pasture Sanctuary Director Ian Ives will lead a bird walk through the snow at Ashumet Holly to highlight some of Cape Cod's seasonal favorites including:

Black Capped Chickadees
American Goldfinches
American Tree Sparrows
Carolina Wrens
Cedar Waxwings
Dark-eyed Juncos
Eastern Bluebirds
European Starlings
Mourning Doves
Northern Cardinals
Northern Mockingbirds
Tufted Titmice
White-Breasted Nuthatches
White-Throated Sparrows
Bundle up and join this fun and informative bird walk! In the event that there is no snow, the walk will proceed as normal.

Ashumet Holly Wildlife Sanctuary
East Falmouth, MA
Directions:
From Rt 3 or Rt I-495 south: Cross over the Bourne Bridge. After the bridge, go around the rotary and follow Rt 28 south toward Falmouth. At the intersection of Rt 28 and Rt 151 in North Falmouth, take a right onto Rt 151 east and follow it for 4 miles. Turn left on Currier Road and then take the first right onto Ashumet Road. The sanctuary entrance is the first left.
From the Mashpee rotary: Take Rt 151 west for 3 miles. Turn right onto Currier Road and take the first right onto Ashumet Road. The sanctuary entrance is the first left.
Registration not required.
