This is a large public beach with an awesome jetty that is teeming with life and treasures to discover. Kids of all ages love swimming in "The Cove" or, if the tide is right, taking the plunge into the "20 Footer". Though a little rocky, there is plenty of soft sand between the sea wall and high tide mark, with plenty of room for a game of bean bag toss or frisbee. There are clean public restrooms a short walk across the esplanade, plus everything else one could need within a five minute walk - restaurants, a package store, a market, beach shops, an ice cream parlor, and more! Parking for more than 2 hours on the esplanade requires a special resident placard, so either move your car before the 2 hours is up or pay $5 for all day parking a short walk away.
