About Bay Pointe Country Club...Open to the Public! The Bay Pointe Club was built in 1964 and was known as Wareham Country Club until 1988. This was the same year that the Pavilion building was constructed and the famous 7th hole island green was created. Today, the Bay Pointe Club offers a unique collection of 18 championship golf holes designed by Geoffrey Cornish, a beautiful banquet facility, and a clubhouse which has a fully stocked pro shop and The Bay Pointe Grille, which is a perfect place for a meal or to just watch a game.
