Wonderful house in a fabulous setting with super attention to detail

We had a wonderful 3 weeks at Craig and Sharon's house in Barnstable. The house is at the end of a private lane, secluded and very private, traditional cape style with lovely views over the marsh and nothing but the sound of birds! The communication all along was super friendly and efficient and the information provided to us before arriving was excellent. This continued on arrival with an excellent visitor book full of info, and a house where guests needs have been carefully considered. Whether it be the fully equipped kitchen, the on demand TV or the copious amounts of beach towels and beach paraphernalia, Craig and Sharon had really provided for all eventualities, understanding what guests need when on vacation! The house is nicely spacious and slept 8 of us no problem, we used the deck and BBQ constantly as well as the super outdoor shower. The house is decorated in cape style with lots of homely touches, but it is not cluttered leaving us space to spread out and make the place our home for 3 weeks. All in all a great experience and one we will hopefully have the chance to come back to one day! Thank you!

Beautiful and comfortable

We've rented lots of places on Cape Cod over the years and this was definitely one of the best. The view of the tidal marsh is stunning, extremely well equipped kitchen (we do most of our eating in), comfortable beds with bedrooms that are separate in the 4 corners of the house.. The outdoor shower.... didn't want to get out of it. All and all a wonderful week was had by all.

Don't miss Nirvana Coffee in the village and Smitty's ice-cream. Long time fan of Four Seas... but Smitty's was serious competition!

Wonderful summer in Cape Cod
255 Stoney Point Road, Barnstable , MA, 02637, United States
This was our first time to spend the summer in the US and thanks to Craig, we enjoyed our stay very much in his lovely " Beach House". From the first mails onwards we felt a "warm welcome" and being in good hands - Craig was very responsive and supportive in helping us with the procedures when being guests from Europe which gave us great comfort. The house is spacious ( 6 adults and 3 little kids) and was very well equipped, so we felt like being home from the first day. Waking up with the lovely marsh views was the best way to start the day! Craig has a collection of useful information like restaurant recommendations or activities which we had fun to follow. Many thanks for a wonderful stay- hopefully we will come back. Perfect house for a family vacation!
255 Stoney Point Road, Barnstable , MA, 02637, United States

We rented this house for our first trip in Cape Cod. It was everything I dreamed of. We were a big family of 9 (from 1 yrs old to 63!!!) and we had enough space for everybody. The house was very clean and in good condition. We were also pleased with the outdoor shower. The local beach was perfect for our kids. But also, it was so calm and peaceful that it was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun. We also went to Cold Storage Beach in Dennis. This was a very nice beach with bigger waves and more crowdy. The location is perfect for someone who want to explore the Cape. We didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted and we are looking to come back next year!

"Once again we had a wonderful time in your beautiful home and surroundings! Summer temps and cool nights allowed us to be on the outstanding beaches, see seals in Chatham and get to many places not seen in years. Of course your deck and the changing landscape left us anxious and excited to see what had changed overnight and was beaming in the sunshine. Still warm enough to use the outdoor shower which is one of our favorite things about staying here."

Fantastic House -- highly recommended!
This is a great house - nicest house our group of 8 has stayed in on the Cape! Lots of room for all of us - beautiful bedrooms, big dining room table, plenty of space outside on the deck, lots of room for multiple people to be working in the kitchen. When we arrived, everything was clean, open, airy. It's tranquil and near the end of a very quiet street. Beach is a pleasant 5-minute walk through conservation land. Marshy beach was a nice place for the kids to swim. Bigger beaches do require a drive (we went to Craigville Beach one day; about 20 minutes). House is also about 1.5 miles from Barnstable Village with market, library, shops - easy drive there (or it can be walked or jogged). Owners were extremely kind and responsive, and have created a wonderful place for a Cape vacation. Highly recommended!!

Great House, Great Location, Great Vacation
It is always a great feeling when you walk into a rental property and you feel relaxed and at home. The owners Craig and Sharon were very helpful throughout the entire process and their home was fantastic. The open kitchen and family room opens up the house and the glass sliding doors across the back of the house lets in plenty of light and beautiful views of the tidal marsh. Close and convenient to everything you need to get too. The beach was a bit of a walk but Parking on the next street over was free and we did not seem to have problems. We did several day trips to other area beaches but found the beach there to be very nice. The house come with everything you need and having the beach chairs and the cart to load everything in was a big plus. Outdoor Shower was fantastic and I don't think anyone ever used an inside shower the whole time we were there. The kids loved the yard and the walking trails right next door were very nice as well. We had lots of friends stop by and say hello and everyone loved the house as much as we did!

Marvelous Vacation Home
My family of six adults, one four year-old and a baby stayed for five days in this beautiful home. The owner was extremely helpful before our stay with suggestions for restaurants, beaches, etc. and when we arrived, there was a large notebook with even more information that helped us plan our visit so that every precious moment was used wisely. The home was beautiful, and perfect for all of our needs. The view out the back is breathtaking, and we were able to enjoy eating on the back deck.outside almost every evening we were there. It is a short, scenic walk to the beach which we found loaded with shells, tidal pools, and all kinds of interesting things for adults and kids alike! Barnstable is a lovely town with helpful, friendly people and markets and coffee shops to fill three vacations. We definitely plan to return to this house for years to come and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful, yet fun-filled family vacation without all of the fuss of moving in and out of uncomfortable hotels!

Peaceful, Beautiful Sanctuary by the Sea
So grateful for finding this perfect space to share a long overdue family getaway. Peaceful spot within walking distance to an incredibly quiet, safe beach - the hermit crab sandcastles we built were legendary!

Short drives to anything you might need or WANT. Big, sandy Craigville Beach, Mini golf, perfect summer "fried food" & ice cream, fine dining, whale watching, fishing - all in a lovely area and well laid out & appointed home. The outdoor shower is addictive - even if you haven't been to the beach!

Would not hesitate to return without another search.

Perfect Getaway!
My family and I stayed here at the beginning of August. I was the one who coordinated the rental and needless to say, all the pressure for the "perfect getaway" was on my shoulders. By the end of the week, everyone was singing my praises. This is a wonderful home. Spacious and warm with such beautiful natural sunlight and tasteful decor. The owners are professional and a delight to work with and one can really tell how much they love this home. From the outdoor shower to the bedroom balconies, Stoney Point provides a true Cape Cod experience.

Summer Getaway!
My wife and I spent a week here in August 2009. The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We felt totally relaxed and at home here. The private outdoor shower was a definite bonus and quite enjoyable. The water is a short walk away and we found the beach area all to ourselves on most days. Sunsets on the deck after grilling out were great ways to spend the early part of the evening.
