ALL R O O M S WITH O C E A N F R O N T V I E W S !!

One-of-a-kind OCEANFRONT Barnstable three-bedroom home! The house is practically one with the ocean with EVERY room having oceanfront views. No need to even move out of the house to see and be part of ocean life -- you're simply part of it even inside the home. It's an all-access ocean 24/7.

Witness the most beautiful sunrises from your bed! But no need to move, completely wake up, or move outside to watch. Just stay in your bed, peek open your eyes, and watch the most stunning sunrises. Or head out to the upper or lower balcony, watch from the living room, or sit comfortably in the front yard with a coffee and be stunned by the view. Just watch the sunrise and roll back over and finish your restful sleep. But fair warning: you won't want to because there's too much to do!

Miss sunrise? No worries! Just look to the west and watch the most moving sunsets during the evening. Again, you can view it while in the house or outside in our cozy Adirondack chairs.

Take a leisurely walk to Barnstable Village to dine or shop at the many restaurants, antique shops, comedy club (theater), village market, Day Spa, and library (oldest in the country). Take a walk or trolley ride to Mill Way Beach/Barnstable Harbor, go deep-sea fishing, go whale watching, dine on the harbor, or simply just be at the house and absorb the views and ocean breezes.

Some of the walkable Barnstable Village restaurants and stores:

Barnstable Tuscan Kitchen
Nirvana Coffee Company
Barnstable Market
The Buttercup Cafe
Dolphin Restaurant
Mattakeese Wharf
Osterville Fish Too
Salon and Spa

The house is located in a very desirable, sought-after, beautiful, and VERY QUIET multi-million dollar neighborhood. In addition to our beautiful Barnstable Village, the house is located just minutes drive/trolley to downtown Main St. Hyannis shops, too many restaurants to mention, Barnstable Airport or a ferry ride to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard, Hyannis Golf Club, Cape Cod Melody Tent to see great entertainment (the Kennedy Museum, and ferries to Nantucket or Martha Vineyard. Relax, enjoy a BBQ, take a refreshing steaming hot outdoor shower, and enjoy the sea breezes.

Don't Pack Anything! We've provided everything for you so you don't have to bring it including big fluffy beach towels, high-quality linens, bath towels, beach towels, and beach chairs.

Beach Pass:
A beach pass is included and allows unlimited free access for one car to all Town of Barnstable public and resident-only beaches, including Sandy Neck, Craigville Beach, Veterans Beach, Kalmus Beach, Sea Street Beach, Dowses Beach, Millway Beach, Loop Beach, Covell Beach, Hathaway's Pond, Hamblin's Pond, Lovell's Pond, Waquaquet Lake, Joshua's Pond, and Eugenia Fortes Beach. That's an additional 15 Cape Cod beaches you have complete and free access!

Adventure-Seekers:
Perhaps try something new like ocean kayaking where you can schedule a 1 or 2-person (or more) kayak at the beach house for the week, complete with life vests, instruction, and delivery/pick-up. The immediate area is written in many guidebooks as an oasis for ocean kayaking! Kayak over to sandbars as they await at low tide and become your stunning private oasis (they're right in front!). A ''must-do'' is the large high-speed jet-propelled whale watch yacht docked at Barnstable Harbor. The whales are amazing and always there! If you windsurf or sail, bring those, too! You can easily haul a ''420'' onto the yard for safe keeping -- and windsurfers will find it an easy step on and off.

Children:
This house is great for children! The yard is perfect for children to keep themselves busy. The ocean beach directly in front of our house will keep any child busy for hours with its endless collection of shells and ocean life. We supply four beach chairs and eight beach towels for you!

Carless:
If you want to go on vacation and never touch your car, this is the spot for you. Between walking distance nearby restaurants, Barnstable Market, beaches, whale watching, antiquing, and trolley -- you'll never have to get into your car until it's time to go home! Which, of course, you won't want to do when you see the oceanfront views we have for you!

Foodies:
Come have a busy day swimming, clamming, fishing, whale watching, biking, shopping, etc., and then end the day with a walk to one of our nearby restaurants. You can WALK to these restaurants! You can dine at the Barnstable Tuscan Kitchen, The Dolphin Restaurant, or Mattakeese Wharf Restaurant and leisurely walk home via moonlight. Or, maybe you'd pick up dinner at the Barnstable Market or eat a large breakfast/lunch at the Buttercup Cafe? Barnstable Market carries Four Seas Ice Cream so dessert is in order!

Fish and catch your stripers for dinner!
Cast your line in front of the house rent and catch some striped bass for dinner! Many times you'll even witness them ''jumping'' from the water. Nearby Barnstable Marine sells bait and lets you know what the fish are biting on.

FAQ:
Is the beach in front super sandy?
The beach is a mixture of sand, shell, and rock. It's not a sandy beach that you dig your toes into. I provide a beach pass that allows free entry into all local area beaches and ponds to give the sandy-toes fix.

Do you swim at the beach?
The best time to swim is at high tide. The tides change every 6 hours. You will see two tides every 12 hours.

Can you swim at low tide?
At low tide, I like to take a kayak (rental information provided) and head out to the sandbars that occur out front. Or, do something else (like hang out in the yard, walk the beach, etc.). I also include a beach pass that allows you free entry into all the area beaches.

Can I bring more than two cars?
We are very close to the ocean - our parking is limited to 2 cars.

Another week with amazing views and great kayaking and bike riding

We returned to W. Barnstable this summer and it did not disappoint. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the easy walks and bike rides to the local coffee shop, Nirvana, as well as to the various restaurants in the village. We rented kayaks again and went out around low tide to the giant sandbar that is basically in front of the house. We parked our kayaks out there and hung out there as long as we could - the house is in a perfect location for this type of adventure. The house itself is clean, quaint, and private; and it has amenities such as plenty of beach towels, chairs, a cooler, etc. The location is wonderful - right on the rocky beach with a straight shot to the wonderful sandbar. If you happen to be into fly fishing - my husband went down the road towards Sandy Neck and fished over there and caught native trout! He was super excited about that! show more show less

    Clean and immaculate

The house is located in a very very nice neighborhood and was so clean and immaculate. It had everything that we needed for our week-long stay. The views of the water, sunrises, sunsets, and the lighthouse off in the distance were absolutely beautiful !!! It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The information packet that Shannon sent a couple of weeks before your stay has everything in it that you need to know about the property and area. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

We all enjoyed our stay in Barnstable. The cottage had excellent views of the harbor. Each of the three bedrooms had its own harbor view. We enjoyed a wonderful week of whale watching, fine food, and an excellent place to stay. Barnstable was the perfect place to begin exploring the rest of Cape Cod.

It was an absolutely beautiful place. No matter the window, you looked out, there was a view. The house was clean and spacious. Morning coffee by the ocean or on the deck was a great way to start the day.

    Just perfect

I do not have words for how beautiful the house's location is or how relaxing our vacation was. This house was perfect!

Right on the water. Fishing and kayaking right in front of the house. Convenient walking to Barnstable. So many nearby beaches and things to do! If you enjoy bird-watching or wildlife watching, the perfectly placed chairs at the front windows will become a favorite spot.

It was clean and tidy when we arrived, and we really appreciated not having to pack linens. Conveniences, like having the washing machine upstairs and a well laid-out kitchen, make this a stress-free place to stay.

It really is a turnkey experience--just walk in and start your vacation!

    Perfect!

    Immaculate and Pure Perfection

This home was an oasis beyond compare. Immaculate accommodations! The house was the cleanest and most welcoming home we have ever rented. The owner was very easy to work with, kind and courteous. She provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We didn't have to bring bedding, towels, toilet paper, etc. The well-stocked pots, pans and dinner ware was perfect. The owner was upfront about the private rocky beach in front of the house. My family enjoyed wading in the water and the wildlife was fascinating to watch. Having a beach pass to visit other local beaches was invaluable as were the beach chairs and umbrella.

All the beds were comfortable and had plenty of bedding and extra pillows to suit various needs. The house utilizes every extra space possible for function or views. We especially loved the half bathroom on the main floor and affectionately dubbed it the Harry Potter bathroom (under the stairs).

There is plenty of seating inside and out for a large family or group. The outside shower was awesome, especially with having hot water. The air conditioning worked very well for the hot days. By far the best part of the house was the incredible views. The house is in the best position possible to capture the breathtaking views from every room in the house, including the stairs.

If you are looking for calm, quiet, and private accommodations this is the place to stay. We will be renting this house for our vacation next year.

Salt Air, Scenes, Seagulls Seeping into your Soul

An immaculate house and property, perched right out at the edge of one of the most spectacular scenic beach vistas on all of Barnstable Harbor. My husband and I became addicted to drinking coffee at 6:30 a.m., while sitting by the sliding doors/front windows and watching the glorious sunrise, all the while bathed in the salty air wafting in the windows.
A huge plus of this waterfront location is near-perfect walkability -- a quiet and gorgeous walk into town to the coffee shop, market, and town center. And another walk around Salten Point on roads with virtually no traffic. Be ready, though, for the rocky, muddy, beach that characterizes most of this harbor coast; this is not a sandy, easily-swimmable beach, and we got the message fast as we saw neighbors going to the beach in front of the houses only to fish or kayak/sail, dressed in rubber boots or waders. Neither a flip-flop nor beach towel in sight! But a calm paradise to seep into your soul and stay there a long time. And Shannon Smith, owner, is absolute perfection to work with on everything!! show more show less

    Location, Location!

Well equipped rental. Clean with quality furnishings. (Every rental listing says they are clean but this one actually is!) Good kayaking out the front door and great scenery—especially from the upstairs balcony. Great fishing spot from the front yard—saw lots of fishermen in the water . Close to the village and restaurants. Shannon was responsive with any small issue we had.
