This is the second time we have stayed in this house. It is perfectly situated on the tip of Salten Point with views of the Ocean and Sandy Neck.

The bedrooms are downstairs which is an awesome feature for those who have to haul oxygen machines, or other heavy equipment for your stay. Everything is well decorated and very clean. While there I met two families that expressed an interest in the place. I gave them Shannon's contact information.

Barnstable is a very pretty place with places of interest that are unique to it's own heritage. I definitely recommend this place for anyone interested in staying in Barnstable.

This home is a beautiful and at a great location. Very close to the water and surrounding beaches. It's a very quiet and peaceful area. The best part is that all the linens, towels, and beach chairs are provided for you. It's like staying at a hotel where you just bring yourself and wardrobe. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes and cookware.

Since the house is set up with the living space upstairs and bedrooms downstairs, the view of the ocean is amazing. You are able to see a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset. It's in walking distance to Barnstable Village with an awesome coffee shop Nirvana. The Buttercup Cafe offers an amazing breakfast too. The Barnstable Market has all your grocery needs. Close to Hyannis for shopping on Main St.

I would definitely recommend staying at Shannon's home. She is quick to respond if you have any questions during your stay. My daughter and I enjoyed our time here despite rainy weather. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Our stay at this Barnstable Village getaway was just what we needed.
The sweet, 2 story home was comfortably and thoughtfully equipped with a well organized kitchen and all that we needed.

The upper level water view brought peaceful evening ends and sunsets.

Access to restaurants, Hyannis and beautiful surrounding beaches made our stay perfect.

The view of the water is gorgeous and calming and the living space is light and airy. Add that to the sound of the sea birds, the smell of the salty air and being able to walk out to the water and we definitely felt like we were on vacation. To be clear this is not a sandy beach, so don't expect that. But it is a treat to have access to the shore line, and putting your beach chair out and watching the sunset for happy hour cannot be matched. The house is well equipped and very pleasant to be in, and the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. My family and I - husband and three teens - loved occupying this space for a week. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Shannon's beautiful cottage was PERFECT. Shannon was very responsive and detailed and the house had everything we needed to support a great vacation. Shannon gave us great recommendations for kid friendly activities as well as things to do in the "off season". We cannot wait to come back to visit cape cod and will always return to Shannon's rental if given the chance.

We had a wonderful week! It was a joy to wake up and look out over the water. Shannon was helpful both before and during our stay. We cannot wait to book again!

Shannon's place was really great. It had everything we needed, lots of books about the Cape, games, and a perfectly stocked kitchen, including basics like salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc. The beach/water views from the main living space and master bedroom are amazing. Easy walk town to the private beach for sunset viewing and marsh exploration (no swimming or laying out in December!!). Easy walk into town for a coffee and to the local stores. Bring an eye mask as the sun is bright in the master bedroom!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was cute, very clean, and well stocked - especially the kitchen. Great pots, pans, plates, glasses, and even nicer silverware than we have at home! The view was so relaxing, and walking in the neighborhood was a delight, it's a beautiful area. The owners are very nice and very accommodating. Two thumbs up!!

And I'll add that Barnstable is a beautiful, charming town, and conveniently located, anything you need is within a15 minute drive. Go, relax, and enjoy!

Steps from the water, beautiful view of the bay from the balcony. Kitchen had all imaginable utensils. Internet connection was fast and reliable. Very nice, quiet neighborhood. Host was so helpful!

This was a lovely place right by the water in Barnstable, Massachusetts. Everything about our stay was perfect! The house was adorable! Well stocked with plenty of room for everyone. The best place to pick seashells was steps from our door. Great views and such a lovely neighborhood too! I would definitely recommend this place for families looking for a getaway for Summer or Fall! I hope we can do it again sometime!

This property exceeded our expectations! Located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood along the water and close to cute village. Decor is beachy and relaxing. We loved the views and watching the birds visit the window feeder. Kitchen is very well equipped! Be sure to visit Hathaway pond for serene trails and beautiful scenery!

The house was very clean and comfortable. Walk to beach was only a few yards away although it is rocky it was great to walk and view the sunsets. Shannon was very helpful in giving suggestions for our stay

We had a wonderful week at this lovely little home. The house was clean and well stocked. The view is amazing and we easily carried our kayaks to the water for some wonderful kayaking trips. The beach is very rocky and mucky at low tide but the sunsets are the best. You have access to many beaches in the area if you want a sandy beach. The master bedroom is great but the middle queen bedroom is small with only one window, so our friends opted to stay in the twin bedroom with more windows and better breezes. Since the house is on the water and no AC it does get humid and damp, typical for the Cape. However there are ceiling fans and lots of shaded windows. It would be helpful if there were shades on the windows near the table since the sun beats in there. However it was a wonderful place to stay and we hope to return in the future.

We rented this charming little cottage for 6 days on the Cape after Thanksgiving weekend. Our adult daughter was with us for part of the week, then just the two of us. The house was fine for three adults and I think it would be good for a family too if the kids can handle stairs. There is a step down into the twin bedroom if that is an issue; all bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first level and the living area is upstairs.

The view is beautiful - you do look across the yards and rear of two other houses as shown in the picture of the beach path - but there is a clear view of the water and the sunset over the marsh area. The house was clean, and was warm even in the midst of a nor'easter that blew in for a couple of days. This year the weather in early December happened to be wintery (some years, it's gorgeous) so we did not get to enjoy the balcony or deck, or the walk to the beach or around the point too often but it would be a great spot in milder fall or winter weather, as well as in summer.

The location is in a beautiful neighborhood, and is a good walk (20 minutes or so) to the lovely village of Barnstable and a closer walk to the wonderful Sturgis Library. We were lucky to be in town for the Barnstable Holly Stroll which was terrific - a very local family celebration with many businesses and even the fire house participating. Shannon was very responsive to all our inquiries and is a great host.

We enjoyed our stay in Barnstable. We loved the sweet little home we rented. It had a perfect view. Shannon (the owner) was helpful and very kind. She left us her cell number so we could contact her with questions or concerns. We contacted her once, and she responded promptly which we really appreciated. We would rent this home again anytime we are on Cape Cod.

Shannon, thank you again for everything. We loved your little home, and we had a wonderful time. We especially loved the beautiful view from the balcony upstairs. We enjoyed our coffee every morning sitting on the balcony with that beautiful view.

Sweet little Cape Cod home with a beautiful view!!

We spent two weeks at this lovely home. Shannon thought of everything! We walked into the village every day and enjoyed coffee at Nirvana! The weather was awesome and the views are superb! Wonderful vacation!!

A very comfortable place to stay. Amazing view right out the back window. Close to the small village of Barnstable that meets all your basic needs. The host was very easy to work with and accommodating. Tons of beaches nearby - our favorites were Dowses and Sandy Neck.

We absolutely enjoyed our time at this location. Not only the property is gorgeous and clean, but its waterfront location is fantastic. The property description is very accurate. This was our first time to Cape Cod; however, Shannon made it very enjoyable with loads of info about restaurants, boat rentals, etc. She was always reachable for any queries and even shared local favorites with us.

My wife, daughters and myself really enjoyed our stay in Barnstable. The house was exactly what we expected. Shannon was very accommodating before and during our stay. Relaxing walks down on the beach and enjoyable times spent at the house itself. Barnstable was located close to everything we wanted. From the incredible Whale Watch tour to our daughters driving and spending the day in Salem, to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Highly recommend for a great family vacation!

We stayed at this lovely property in early September, and we experienced both ends of the Cape Cod weather - but fortunately in this property in didnt matter. Ths upside down layout meant we got to see the views of Sandy Neck with with all our meals, morning & night.. The property is very well equipped and the owner Shannon ensured that we wanted for nothing, The local area is very quiet which we liked and local market in Barnstable is a real goldmine.

We really enjoyed our stay and would return in a hearbeat .....a great place from which to explore the Cape.

Its a great place to relax in a quite and high-end neighborhood. Each one from our group cherished place. It's on the creek (bay) so if you have your own boat you will like to a lot stay at this place. Love to visit again. Good for 6 - 7 people.

This is one of the most lovely and quiet place in Cape Code. Very familiar surroundings, and some of the most stunning sunrise and sunset we`ve seen so far (from the living room of the house). Thank you, Shannon!

Reunited here with college friends from the '70s. Such a comfortable and cozy home. The view of the bay and the variety of birds landing on the deck made it all even more special. The town of Barnstable is charming, too. I would love to stay here again!

Adorable Cape Cod cottage in idyllic location! We're annual visitors and can't wait to return! It's comfortably furnished and abundantly stocked with linens, cookware and dinnerware, and paper products. We love the view of the harbor and the convenience to the quaintness and charm of the village

Our ladies week was perfect in this well stocked and maintained house located in a quiet village yet from where it is easy to access other areas of the Cape. We enjoyed walking to the village coffee shop, diner and market, but especially the near perfect weather to bike ride, whale watch, and ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Shannon made the reservation process very easy and was always accessible. We would highly recommend this rental.

This cottage has everything you need for a great vacation. Kitchen is well stocked, beds were comfortable and the owner was more than helpful with local information and ideas. The bathrooms were nice, linen plentiful and washer and dryer a real convenience. The beach pass was especially nice, we were able to visit several beaches. The beach in front of the house was stony, but we enjoyed it just the same. We were able to put kayaks in the water, even our 12 year old grandson was able to paddle around. The hi-speed internet was a real plus. I highly recommend this lovely vacation home.

We went with another family with 3 kids total. Kids loved that we could walk to the beach or ride bikes from the house. I walked or ran into the town in the mornings- nice neighborhood and cute house with amazing views! Was stocked well enough for us to cook most things. Comfortable and clean.

We stayed over Xmas break with our son. The house was comfortable and well-appointed. Beautiful view over the water, and a 15 min walk to Barnstable village. Exactly as described, and highly recommended.

Shannon was a delightful off-site host. All communications and paperwork were prompt and professional and I had a sense of comfort and stability even before the trip. Shannon provided a thorough list of eateries, shopping and information. We arrived at the cottage on a crisp fall morning just after the end of tourist season. The cottage provides easy access to the Bay and beautiful Barnstable Village is within a short walking distance. We had everything we could wish for in kitchen supplies. The cottage was adorned in restful colors with comfortable furnishings. Shannon was available to address our questions. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a restful water getaway.

My wife, 4 year old daughter and I stayed here over a weekend in late October. We booked the day before and Shannon made the process extremely easy. It's a beautiful, relaxing 15 minute walk into town. The house is just off the water in the Salten Point neighborhood...which I think is the nicest spot in all Barnstable (I lived here 30 years ago during summers). The night we arrived the wind was howling and the temperatures were in the 40s...but the night was so beautiful with the afterglow of the sunset, stars, moon, incredible views across Barnstable Bay to the dunes of Sandy Neck. and the total serenity of the location. The house is immaculate and quickly got toasty warm once we turned up the heat. It's an amazing place. Some things we enjoyed: bundling up that first night and walking into town to eat dinner at The Dolphin (love traditional Cape seafood fare!), awaking to an incredible morning glow across the Bay and walking into town to Nirvana Coffee for breakfast (this may be the best little coffee shop ever...delicious pastries and sandwiches), walking into town the second morning to get breakfast at the Blue Plate Diner (another great spot), searching for shells along the shoreline in front of the house, and having drinks on the balcony the second afternoon (which was warmer and less windy). We visited here from NYC and my wife is very particular about hotels...and she loved Shannon's home. We're definitely planning to return. I'm sure this home is incredible during the summers...but to me nothing can beat the Cape during the offseason. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, yet convenience too....this is the spot. I was expecting the home to be nice...and it exceeded my expectations. Also, there's a great little market in Barnstable Village (between Nirvanna Coffee and Blue Plate Diner).

I found this place while looking for a rental that had ocean view, private beach, and was big enough for a family of 7. Because of the way houses are set up on the cape, that is hard to find. Fortunately, this place has it all and is priced really affordable! We stayed a week in September. Shannon was great to plan with and was very honest about what to expect. We arrived in the small town of Barnstable and made our way to the beach house. It was a adorable beach house, nestled between some larger places, but with its own fenced in yard. The inside of the house was clean and cozy. There are three bedrooms in the downstairs. One of them was a little bigger than the other two and had a couch as well. There are two bathrooms. The upstairs has a cute kitchen, fully stocked with all the dishes you'll need. Note here* The stove was nice, but very outdated and was not great too cook on, but manageable. The upstairs has a pull out sofa and flat screen TV, set up with Amazon and Netflix. The Best Part of the house was the beautiful view of the bay from the upstairs! It was so relaxing. There's a small porch that is attached to the upstairs slider doors and this overlooks the bay. This was a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and your lobster in the evening. Note* this porch is great but be careful with your kids who climb! In the backyard there is a nice little porch attached to slider doors on downstairs. There also an outdoor shower which we used a couple of times to wash sandy children off. From there you can take a short stroll down to the beach. The beach is a bay beach. It is not sandy, so bring swim shoes. It's great for setting up a chair and relaxing though. The tide does come in quite a ways so pay attention. From this beach we caught the most delicious Striper we've ever had! Beautiful, fish! You'll need a license, but I'll tell you it's so worth it! We cooked the fish for dinner and they were ridiculously good! I highly suggest getting a clam digging license because this beach is LOADED with clams. Just pick a spot, start digging, and whamo, clams everywhere! They were by far the best clams we've ever eaten! The town of Barnstabele is very small. There's a yummy diner and a delicious coffee shop. I would walk there many times a day. It's about a mile walk. Biking is fun and we did two 10 mile trips! There are many beautiful sandy beaches within 5 to 10 minutes drive from house. Good Wi-Fi. This is a place to relax!

Shannon's home is absolutely amazing - from a amazing location to beautiful/comfortable furnishings this was by far our most enjoyable part of our trip. Shannon provided everything we could possibly need and then some! She helped with any questions we had and also provided notes from past guests who shared things they enjoyed while at her home. It was great! We enjoyed going to the beach (we were the only people there!), watching the birds & sea life from the deck and her location is so beautiful. This little town just made us fall in-love with MA. If you are considering staying in the Cape - this house is truly WONDERFUL & you won't go wrong with staying here.

We made a last minute decision to spend New Year's weekend in Cape Cod to visit a relative and enjoy the beauty of the Cape. The owner was extremely helpful in pulling this off with very little notice, and this house was adorable. We felt so at home and comfortable, and the location was perfect. We woke to such a beautiful view of the ocean, and got so lucky with mild January weather that my daughter was able to collect shells on the beach. The house is very clean and such a great layout. We also saw that previous renters had their children paint shells and leave them for decoration, so my daughter painted a shell as well to keep with tradition. I would highly recommend this property, and would love to stay here again in the future....for longer!! Thanks Shannon!
