Lovely location and very nice house
The house and the furnishings were very pleasing: nice beds, beautiful view, plenty of room , nicely outfitted kitchen, nice amenities and plenty of bathrooms.

We have been coming to Cape Cod every August for 25 years and have always stayed with friends. When we couldn't come up in 2020 because of COVID we made a vow to book a place for the entire month this year. We wanted a house that was quintessential Cape Cod, on the water and we wanted to be able to walk into town. This home delivered on ALL counts! The house is spacious and immaculate with so much character and the best stocked home we have ever rented. Ann was amazing and so quick to respond to questions. We had different sets of family and friends join us each week and lifetime memories were made with each group. From watching our 1 yr old grandson learn to walk on the beautiful lawn, to daily morning walks to the village coffee shop and the beach, to Happy Hours and dollar oysters in the village and grabbing steamed lobsters at the fish market and bringing them back to eat on the patio. And I think we helped the village market make their annual quota in wine while we were there.! We literally had everything we needed within walking distance. But when we did venture out further our location was perfect for getting everywhere on The Cape, especially the proximity to Hyannis and the ferry to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Even our friends who have lived on The Cape for years couldn't believe how amazing this house and location are. Thank you for sharing it with us. Thank you for helping us make memories with friends and family that we will treasure forever! We cannot wait to come back next August! show more show less

Incredible water view in a wonderful home
This is an exceptional rental home. The view is magnificent, the sunsets breathtaking, the home beautifully appointed, with everything you need. It is in a very nice neighborhood, and easily accessible to everything. We were sad to leave. Ann is a pleasure to work with, was quick to answer any question. We absolutely LOVED our stay in this beautiful property.

    A week in Paradise
Two families had a wonderful week in this beautiful, spacious, clean home with a perfect location in Barnstable. The house is well-appointed with many spaces for kids and adults to hang out separately or together. Sleeping was very comfortable. The neighborhood is perfect for biking and walking. Town, which has ice cream, restaurants and a coffee shop is an 8-minute bike ride/ 20 minute walk. The bay is warm (rocky so water shoes are a must) and great for swimming, crab hunting and kayaking. While we brought a kayak and a SUP, we were a large party so we also appreciated the kayak at the home. We ate dinner every night in the huge backyard with gorgeous sunsets. Bring bug spray for the evenings. We are so glad we stayed here! show more show less

We are Ann and Joe, and the Cape has been an important part of our family's life for more than 25 years. With family members living on both the East and West Coasts, Cape Cod became the place where we gathered each summer and where our three children grew up spending time with their cousins.

For the past 10 years, many of those gatherings have taken place at this home on Salten Point. When we had the opportunity to purchase it, we couldn't resist. We love its extraordinary setting on Barnstable Harbor, the time our family spends together here, and the traditions that have grown around it.

We also love traveling and experiencing different places and cultures, which has taught us how meaningful the right home can be when bringing people together. We are pleased to share our Cape home with guests and hope it becomes the setting for memorable family vacations of their own.

What is special about this property?
What makes this property truly special is its setting. The house sits directly on Barnstable Harbor with panoramic views across the water to the dunes of Sandy Neck. The long lawn leads to a private beach, so swimming, kayaking, fishing, beachcombing and exploring the tidal flats are right outside the door. We especially love watching the changing tides, sailboats and wildlife during the day, followed by sunset and stargazing from the stone terrace.

The home is also unusually well suited to families gathering across generations. It sleeps 10 comfortably, with two primary suites on separate floors, generous indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and plenty of room for children to play. Despite its peaceful waterfront location, it is close to Barnstable Marina and within walking distance of historic Barnstable Village. It offers the combination we value most: natural beauty, privacy, convenience and a wonderful place for families and friends to spend meaningful time together.

What is special about your town?
Barnstable Village offers the charm of historic Cape Cod without the crowds and commercial feel of some of the Cape's busier destinations. From the house, guests can walk to the village, Barnstable Marina, local restaurants, coffee, ice cream, shops and the historic Sturgis Library. Whale-watching cruises and other boating excursions depart from the nearby harbor.

The village is centrally located for exploring the rest of Cape Cod, including Sandy Neck Beach and its spectacular dunes, Hyannis, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, local conservation areas, golf courses and the beaches and villages of both the Cape Cod Bay and Nantucket Sound sides. We especially love returning after a day of exploring to the quiet beauty of Salten Point and Barnstable Harbor.
