Luxurious Post & Beam with Heated Pool Near Beach

Great large home for multiple families. The pool is awesome and we used it daily. The location is perfect. I like to run and did 5 milers using side streets. The grocery store, pharmacy, liquor store and fish market are all less than a 5 minute drive for quick errands. Thanks for hosting us!

This property is very well maintained and is comfortable for large family gatherings. It is well furnished with quality items, lots of beach towels and equipment for beach visits, beautiful beaches nearby and a town beach parking pass is provided. The owner is very responsive to questions or requests. Our crew has rented many properties on the Cape over the years and this house is one of our favorites.

This owner is completely irresponsible. Our family rented this home two years in a row, and the condition has only gotten worse. Last year, the basement floor was warped — this year it's severely damaged. We discovered active water leaking from the utility room, which spread into the basement closet, where we found visible mold. The flooring is so swollen from long-term water damage that the closet door barely opens. There are HUGE bumps in the floor from the water leaking.

Most concerning: a one-year-old baby was sleeping in the basement, and mold exposure is extremely dangerous for young children. Two of our family members had to leave early due to the unhealthy conditions, and the owner refused to offer any refund or resolution.

While a plumber was sent out quickly to stop the leak, the owner never followed up afterward. That was the extent of his involvement.

The back deck is also dangerously unsafe. The railing was loose and unstable, with no support beam — an obvious hazard on a high deck. The spindles were loose and fell off. A small child could easily fall through. Thankfully, a family member secured it with a strap for the duration of our stay. We had to remove the strap when we left, leaving it dangerous once again. We also showed the condition of the railing (and other issues) to the property manager before checking out — she saw the problems firsthand and agreed the home was in poor condition.

On top of all that, the beds are in terrible shape. In one of the king rooms, the bed frame is so unstable that two people roll into the middle.

We gave the owner, Ryan, every chance to acknowledge the issues and offer a partial refund for our major inconvenience. Instead, he downplayed everything and took no responsibility. His reckless management is dangerous and he was terrible to deal with.

DO NOT rent this house. It's unsafe, poorly maintained, and the owner refuses to be accountable. show more show less

A great home for a family vacation! This property has something for everyone. It's perfect for multiple family vacationing together. We hope to come back next year!

We loved this house for our group - college friends and our kids! Plenty of space to hang out all together in the open first floor, basement and outside. Between the pool, proximity to beach, basketball court and games/puzzles there was plenty to do in any weather! The bedroom/bathroom set up worked well for friends or extended family group with multiple adults and kids. We loved our stay and hope to make it a yearly tradition!

We had the most amazing time! The house is beautiful, big and has so much entertainment. It was our first vacation with our one year old and we were a bit nervous. The house had a baby room with black out curtains and even a crib! It was perfect to set her up and she slept perfectly immediately there. The pool was heated and we spent tons of time there with our whole family. The basement has a a pool table and bar! After baby went to bed we all spent the evening there and played games and made drinks, the best time! The house is super close to Hyannis and the ferry to Nantucket and vineyard. Overall it was a great time and we are looking to boom again for next summer! show more show less
