Step right onto your own private wading beach—where you can launch the included sit-on-top kayaks or just soak up the coastal vibes. Imagine having a Boston Whaler delivered right to your beach-it can happen. Our little beach is also perfect for when the kids want to explore (with supervision) the area along the waterfront or dig for hidden treasures.

Our home features a first floor master suite for those that prefer one floor living.
Not a beach day? No problem! Lounge by the in-ground pool (not heated) or hop on one of our included adult bicycles for a scenic ride through charming Cotuit or along the iconic Cape Cod Rail Trail. Afterwards, unwind with a refreshing rinse in the new poolside shower, offering scenic views of the bay, through a porthole window. <br />

Whether you’re curling up with a book, catching a movie, or enjoying some quiet time, there’s a cozy corner for everyone—even a separate TV room and summer-kitchen just for the teens at pool level. <br />

Gather in the bright and airy sunroom that opens to a large outdoor dining deck (seating for 8), or host unforgettable dinners in the connected living and dining room, which comfortably seats ten. Fire up the Weber grill on the upper deck, just steps from the kitchen, and enjoy al fresco meals with stunning views.<br />

Need extra sleeping space? The media room includes a cozy alcove with two daybeds and a full bath nearby—perfect for the unexpected visitor. Every corner of this home was designed with comfort, connection, and vacation joy in mind! This space doubles a a quiet and scenic reading nook overlooking the bay. <br />

We know your four-legged family member is part of the adventure—and we’re thrilled to welcome your well-behaved pup to our home! Your dog will love our fenced-in play area, conveniently attached to the garage, where they can safely romp and relax. Please note, our pet fees (not based on dog type or size) reflects the amount of unintentional damage dogs cause to the home and flooring, along with the extra cleaning that must be done. Feel free to ask me about all the carpeting that I constantly replace due to "accidents" (that are NEVER reported)<br />

But the real treat? Our home sits adjacent to the beautiful Crocker Neck Conservation Area, featuring miles of dog-friendly trails perfect for sniffing, exploring, and stretching those legs. At the end of the trail, there’s even a little beach where your pup can splash into the bay and cool off—pure doggie bliss!<br />

With your stay at ShoestringBayHouse, you’ll get a coveted Barnstable beach pass—so you can cruise right into any of the town’s stunning beaches. Even better? Four of them are just a short bike ride away (and yes, we’ve got two adult bikes ready for you!).<br />

Most folks head to Loop Beach, the local favorite! Its gentle slope into the water is perfect for little swimmers, and there’s a bathhouse and lifeguards to keep things safe and easy. The real highlight? When the ice cream truck rolls in, ringing its bell like a sweet siren call—pure summer magic!<br />

Whether you’re splashing, sunbathing, or sailing, there’s a beach here with your name on it! <br />
Our own wading beach (see picture) directly in front of our home is great for walking, sunsets, relaxing, crab chasing, playing catch with your dog and the kids will love wading in the water. You can also anchor your boat right in front of our home and head out to the Spit or Sampson"s Island for the day. Ask us about Boston Whaler rentals.<br />

Clarification: we do not supply bed linens, bath or beach towels. Each bed has a bed pad, one pillow per head and one (or more) fleece blankets. We can not be responsible for missing pillows, blankets, umbrellas or beach chairs. (people love them so much they take them home). Linens may be rented from our commercial vendor who will deliver them to our home. <br />
