Quaint Cottage in Falmouth Village

We had great vacation in this village. Owner is quite responsive and house is stocked really well. It was nice change to have most of the small things are taken care for you. House is very close to Falmouth downtown, grocery store and bikes paths. House is very spacious and clean.

As long-time Cape Cod vacationers (1997-2022) my husband and I were used to staying in "nice" rentals over the years. We always took our dog with us and respected the rental guidelines of the owners during our stay.

In 2023, at the last minute, I found this gorgeous cottage for rent in Falmouth Village. Not only was it a great find, but I was also able to meet/speak to the owner via phone and email in preparation for our week-long visit. What a relief to meet your landlady via phone and not through the usual channels of Airbnb and VRBO.

Let me begin by saying that the minute we walked into the cottage, we felt as though we were walking into our own home. It was spotless, inviting and attractive at first glance. The skylights provided ample light and the redesign of the cottage was outstanding. It was very obvious to me that the owners were meticulous and thoughtful in their design and preparation for their renters.

A surprising classy gift was waiting for us as we stepped into the cottage: a gift certificate from for the Maison Villatte (think: French Pastries) along with pancake mix, maple syrup and a doggie treat!

I felt at home and confident that this cottage would be perfect for us. From the Bosch french door refrigerator, stove top range, and brand new washer/dryer, to the natural fiber bedspreads and lighting, we settled in and didn't want to leave.

Each morning we had our morning coffee on the deck with a view of the flower garden while we planned out day in Falmouth. Usually our day consisted of "Shining Sea Bikeway" to Woods Hole and Cape Cod Canal bike path, fishing, shopping, and beach-reading for me as the waves rolled in.

What I appreciated the most from this visit was the way the owners anticipated our needs: supplies were plentiful, from dish and clothing detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, extra blankets, cookware and natural fiber quilts for both beds.
The most unique experience for us was the gift of humor on the light switches!!

All in all, it was the most enjoyable trip we have had at the Cape in a long, long time! We both look forward to returning again someday.

I have loved every minute of my two-week stay at this delightful cottage. The location is perfect -- an easy walk into downtown Falmouth and all the lovely restaurants, shops, etc. Close to the public beaches and Shining Sea Bikepath.

The house has been beautifully renovated. Brand new kitchen appliances and washer & dryer. The kitchen is very well stocked--I can't imagine you'd want something that is not here. The mattresses are new and very comfortable. Livingroom is comfortable. Spacious bathroom with a big walk-in shower. The house is absolutely spotless.

I also wanted to mention the back deck, which overlooks the back gardens. There is a nice umbrella to keep you cool during hot summer days. And, it's a cool spot in the morning to enjoy your coffee.

There are a lot of nice things to enjoy (beach chairs, boogie boards) as well as an outdoor shower.

A beautiful, well-kept, pet-friendly house! It's very close to many shops, restaurants, and beaches. We had a great time and hosts were very welcoming and communicative! Definitely would recommend!
