This traditional 3-bedroom, 2-bath, Cape-style house is situated at the end of a quiet, dead-end street in a peaceful neighborhood setting. The house is bordered on two sides by conservation land (protecting the Simmons Pond watershed) and offers lots of privacy. The house has central AC, updated furnishings, and hardwood floors throughout. The main level features a fully stocked, eat-in kitchen that opens to a deck with gas grill and dining table. A cozy living room with a gas fireplace and smart TV, formal dining room, and a full bath w/shower & tub complete the first floor. The second floor houses a spacious master bedroom (queen bed), a full bath w/shower/tub, and two additional guest bedrooms, one with two twin beds and one with a bunk bed.

The finished, walk-out basement has two queen-size futons for additional sleeping space. The basement also houses a smart TV, music player, and ping-pong table making it a great hangout space for kids.

Relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings on the farmer's porch and rinse off in the spacious outdoor shower after a fun day at the beach. Beach chairs, umbrella, coolers and sand toys are provided. Linens - including bedsheets, bath and beach towels - are NOT provided.

Well-behaved dogs considered. Cats are not allowed.

West Hyannis is centrally located on Cape Cod. The house is south of Rte 28 with easy access (1.5-2.0 miles) to several warm water beaches on Nantucket Sound - Craigville Beach, Long Beach, Keyes Memorial Beach, Kalmus Park Beach, Veterans Beach, and Eugenia Fortes Beach in neighboring Hyannis Port. Lively Hyannis village is a five-minute drive and one of the most thriving areas on the Cape, boasting tons of great restaurants with outdoor seating, eclectic shops, music, and a fun, outdoor nightlife during the warm summer months. Catch a concert at the nearby Melody Tent located just up the street. Or, take the high speed ferry from Hyannis harbor to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. Kayaking, whale watching, fishing, sunset cruises, lighthouse tours, parasailing, jet skiing, nature trails, bird watching, golfing/mini-golf, waterparks, and museums (including the JFK Museum and Whydah Pirate Museum), are all at your doorstep.

    About our green amenities: One NEMA 14-50 outlet is available outside in the driveway for 240 volt charging at 32, 40 or 50 amps depending on your cable and car. For a Tesla Model 3 with standard UMC this adds about 30 miles per hour. It's enclosed in a locked steel box (you will be given a combo). Bring your own cable. Mine is 20 feet long and reaches ok if you pull up onto the lawn a bit.

    Our stay at this home was very peaceful and relaxing. Convenient to shops and beaches, the house is just the right size for our group of six. (Mom, Dad, four teen/adult kids). Only one visible neighbor to the left, it is so quiet. Ping pong table in finished basement was fun. Nearby shopping/bowling/mini golf handy for cloudy/rainy days. Well equipped kitchen and grill very much appreciated. We'll be back for sure.

    A great vacation here!

    The Whip-O-Will homestead is a great oasis, our family loved our stay! Beaches, restaurants and other sites are a short drive away; the home is also a great respite away from the hustle and bustle of the Cape.
    There's nothing like sitting on the lovely front porch with your morning coffee or afternoon drink winding down after a busy day. The owners are gracious hosts and the home features so many amenities. We would happily choose to stay here again!

    Wonderful!

    My family and I had a wonderful stay at Whip-O-Will! Everything was so comfortable and cozy. There are 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor and a basement with 2 queen size futons (these are very comfortable to sleep on!). The house has everything you would need, including toys for the little ones and a ride on scooter which my kids LOVED! It's a quiet neighborhood and the house is tucked back a little bit. There is a wonderful front porch that is nice to hang out on. You might see the turkey and her babies stroll by like we did a few times!
    We had such a nice vacation and part of it was having this house as our "home base." Suzanne is so kind and made sure all was well with our stay. She is also very quick to respond if you have any questions. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this house for your next stay!

    A perfect place to call home!

    I was lucky enough to call this lovely house "home" for several months. It is spacious yet cozy, quiet, comfortable, well maintained and well appointed. I spent most mornings having coffee on the porch swing or sofa with a roaring fire. The beds are super comfortable and if you leave the blinds open you wake up feeling like you're in a treehouse. The woods outside surround almost the entire house…so majestic. It is in a great location…so close to great restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The owners are wonderful… very accessible and accommodating. Do yourself a favor and book this fantastic property! show more show less

    We had a wonderful time as a family at Whippoorwill. It's a great home for kids of all ages. The home was so comfortable and in a great location to all of our favorite things to do on the Cape. The yard was great for the kids when we were home. Hands-down one of our best vacations!

    Ideal!

    We can't say enough good things about our Whip-O-Will stay. For our family if 5 it was a perfect place. The basement futons made a great hangout for the teenager and the upstairs bedrooms provided plenty of private space for the 11 yr old and we 3 adults. The basketball hoop was in constant use and the ping pong table and bikes were a welcome addition. We gathered on the porch (love the porch swing!) and side deck both morning and evening, watching the array of birds and discussing our next adventures. The green space around the cottage is alive with bird song and what a treat to see fireflies for the first time!

    Cape Cod is absolutely wonderful, made even better with a relaxing week in your sweet cottage. Thank you! I hope one day we can return to the East coast and to Whip-o-Will.

    Winter rental

    Our family rented this beautiful home for a winter rental. The owners were quick to respond and very accommodating. The home is at the end of a road with a private yard and walking trails behind to explore. The home is also walking distance to many of hyannisports favorites- Main Street, The Kennedy compound, beaches etc. the home is right in the heart of Cape Cod. We could not have asked for a better stay!

    Great Stay!

    My wife and I spent several weeks at this home and had a wonderful time. The house is modern, well located and had everything we needed for our stay, including center AC, which was clutch on a few rare 90+ degree days on the Cape. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the mornings and grilling at night on the back deck.

    The house is really well located, a short bike ride to Eugenia Fortes or Keys Memorial Beach and a few minute drive in the car to Craigville Beach. Close to the village of Hyannisport, we enjoyed several beautiful walks and bike rides (house comes equipped with bikes) through the village and out to Squaw Island. 14 Whip-o-Will also is proximate to Main Street, Hyannis Harbor and all the of the restaurants and convenience retail of Hyannis, A few of our favorite places to eat include Downtown Bistro, Baxter's Boat House and El Mariachi Loco.

    David, the host was extremely helpful and accommodating and the house was clean, functional and exceeded expectations. We would highly recommend this rental for both families and couples alike.

    Lovely Home

    We loved the home. It was charming, clean, and the kitchen was very well stocked (we like to cook in when we go on vacation). It is located in a very private setting so it was quiet. The owner communicated with me from the beginning and made himself available if we had any questions. He also gave us suggested grocery stores, restaurants, beach locations in the area. We had a great time at the Cape!
