The Sea Cottage is quietly situated just off Sea Street two blocks from the west end of Main Street in Hyannis. Our cottage has two bedrooms, one with a queen captain's bed and the other with bunk beds. For its size the cottage has a comfortable layout, with all the comforts of home. There is one full bath and a cozy kitchen. Ideal for two adults or a family with two children old enough for bunk beds (or two daring adults). The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Off the kitchen is a pantry/utility closet for food storage, cleaning supplies, and recycling bins. Full sized washer and dryer are in the Bunk Room.

The cottage is 600 square feet in size, has keyless entry, is simple, sweet and conveniently located two blocks from the west end of Main Street and set back off Sea Street. The patio in front of the cottage is a sunny spot for enjoying a meal or drink. The yard is small with mature plantings. Parking buts up against the patio where there is parking for one vehicle. The neighbors to the west and east are year round renters, quiet and friendly. There is a small park with a bench a few steps away if you want a quiet spot to read or watch the world go by.

Sea Street has a wide well lit sidewalk making walking easy and safe the half mile to Keyes or Sea Street beaches. West Main Street is known for its variety of shops and eateries, including your choice of Italian, Mexican, Brazilian, Vegan, Thai, and Pub food, coffee, ice cream, gift, and apparel shops, all within a five to 15 minute walk. Some main attractions and services in the immediate area are the ferry to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, Kalmus Beach, the Melody Tent, the Art Shacks, the Hyannis Transit Center, museums, and miles of conservation walking trails. read more show less

    My husband and I live in Alaska and will be offering our space to vacationers, traveling nurses, techs and physicians for the first time. I grew up in Harwich and have stayed closely connected to the area thanks to my sisters, mother, and high school friends. Even though Alaska has been my home for 40 years, I will always have sand in my shoes, salt in my blood, and shells in my head from all the memories from my youth and frequent visits. My husband is new to life on the east coast, loves boating, the sun and sand. Together we see ourselves spending more time exploring and making new discoveries in the Lower 48 States, including The Cape. We want to share our sweet spot on earth with you.

    What is special about this property?
    The Sea Cottage is close to everything Cape Cod. Built in 1940 it has the Cape Cottage charm with the owner's personal touches. It is perfect for two, but will accommodate up to four. Several beautiful, quiet beaches are within walking distances of 1/2 to 1 1/2 mile. Downtown Hyannis west end is a two block walk which provides quick access to an assortment of shops, restaurants, and businesses. The Steamship Authority ferry service to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard is 1 mile away. The Hyannis Transit Center is another option for those who want to leave their car behind. It is a 1.2 miles walk or during the summer months, catch the free Hyannis Trolley. If you desire simplicity with a fabulous location for your off-season weekend retreat or summer vacation, consider our Sea Cottage.

    What is special about your town?
    Hyannis is located in the middle of the Cape making it an easy jump off point to Provincetown, Chatham, Falmouth and Sandwich. You will not get bored when Main Street is right around the corner with shops, restaurants and museums. Enjoy a play or concert at The Melody Tent, walks one of the many woodland trails, sun yourself on three beautiful beaches, visit The JFK Hyannis Museum, or the Massachusetts Air and Space Museum.
