Lovely Lakeside Cottage on Peters Pond

My family and I have rented this perfect summer cottage for a week the past two summers. The homeowners provide a nice welcome of summer flowers on the table as you walk in and are always available by text or phone to answer questions about the house, area, beaches, restaurants, etc.

The pond is perfect for swimming, it's extremely clean, and the location of the house is perfect. Close to everything but tucked away nicely so that it's out of the way and quiet.

We had the pleasure of staying in this cottage for a week last August. It was our first time renting a vacation property and we were a little nervous on what we'd find. Well, as soon as we pulled into the driveway, and walked into the home, we knew we had found the perfect place. The owners popped over to say, "Hi!" our first evening there, and they were never bothered by our questions. And the neighbors could not have been any nicer. Everyone was so friendly. The charm, tranquility and location is understated. It is tucked away from the bustle of tourism, yet conveniently located just minutes from the beach. And, with traffic, you are only about 20+ minutes from either Woods Hole or Hyannis. It was so nice to travel the Cape and know we were coming back to the cottage with all the conveniences of home. We were truly able to unwind and reconnect as a family on this trip. We had an amazing time a the cottage! Grandparents, parents and children all enjoyed relaxing on the deck, chilling on the beach and swimming in the pond over the days we were here. It's a long way from Ireland be we felt right at home. The neighbors were friendly and the tree-lined area was beautiful to wake up to. Thank you for such a lovely experience here in Cape Cod. "We had a terrific week at Peter’s Pond. Jeff & Chris had just completed the deck, including the canopy, and the landscaping and it was beautiful. We sat on the deck every day and enjoyed the view of the pond. It’s a short walk to a beautiful, clear, clean pond. The kids, grandkids and other family members all enjoyed it. We were lucky enough to rent during the 4th of July and the Pond residents put on an AMAZING fireworks display over the water. We avoided the Cape Cod summer crowds and crowded beaches. The house was fully and adequately stocked with everything we needed (except linens and towels, as described). The weather was beautiful, but a bit humid on a few days. Luckily they had given us extra fans and an air conditioner for the master bedroom. It was perfect. The washer and dryer came in handy, as well as a built in dishwasher. We had no complaints—again, it was a great, relaxing week. I have already recommended it to friends. If we rent again in the area we would try to stay here again." show more show less

Wow, what a great place! We just spent a week at this fantastic place and we loved it! It was in immaculate condition and extremely clean. The pond is so close, and perfect for young children. We loved the water view from the deck and watching the boaters out on the pond. The owners were available for questions or help and were sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this home!!
