We had a delightful stay here! The place was nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. All the appliances worked well and it was very convenient to have the use of a dishwasher as well as a washer/dryer. We didn't need to use the air conditioning; the doors had sliding screens so we were able to enjoy the fresh ocean air morning and night.
The patio was good sized with a privacy hedge and a view of the water. We ate all our meals outside at a table shaded by a large umbrella. The gas grill was clean and functioned well.
The bedrooms were lovely and it was nice to have upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. The shower was really great and there were exhaust fans in both bathrooms.
Our vacation focused on the ocean so we spent a good part of every day at the beach. The beach was absolutely wonderful: it was a short walk to get there, the water was ideal for swimming, and it had lovely sand. The beach chairs and towels came in handy as did the hose for rinsing off sandy feet.
In the evenings, we enjoyed walking in the Maushop Village neighborhood and to the Popponesset Marketplace. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly; it was so pleasant to be with other families having a good time.
Marie was an excellent host who answered all of our questions, provided us with everything we needed, and made our vacation extra special!

Cottage is adorable, clean and has everything you need. The ocean view from the balcony was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast there every morning!
In addition, it's location is perfect. Steps from the beach, and a short walk or quick bike ride to the marketplace (where we played mini golf everyday!). Marie was a great host! Very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this rental!

This is the perfect beach cottage. Our family of 4 loved the area, walking distance to so much and just a short walk to a beautiful and quiet beach. The cottage had everything you could need and even came stocked with all the little essentials. The hosts were pleasant and responsive. They even left a lovely gift bag that included some cape cod reading for the kids and fun activities. We've spent many summers at the cape and this is by far our favorite place to stay. We look forward to using it again.

Marie & Alex's Maushop Village cottage was a perfect home for our family of 3 adults. The short walk to the private beach was perfect and allowed us the flexibility to go there whenever we wanted to go, which was quite often. We enjoyed walking around the community in the evenings to spot the rabbits and looking out over the water to watch the boats sail across the sound. We also rode bikes along one of the various trails in New Seabury.

Marie made our stay very comfortable. She was very responsive and provided helpful information during check-in. We enjoyed our beach week and would love to return again.

Our family (2 adults, 2 children under 6) just returned from the perfect week at the beach! This cottage was just right for us, with 1.5 bathrooms, 2 lovely bedrooms, and a fantastic living room and modern kitchenette. Add in FOUR outdoor patio/balconies, and you can't go wrong. We made ourselves at home and had absolutely everything we could need for a comfortable beach vacation.

The cottage is located just about a 2-3 minute walk to the private, gorgeous beach. You CAN see the ocean from the upstairs balcony or front entrance patio, but it is too far away to hear or see from inside the cottage. The beach is really wonderful and so easy to get to. On our beach days, I was able to run back to the cottage to grab snacks or lunch to bring back for a picnic all within minutes. The girls never wanted to leave the beach and met lots of friends to play with!

In the other direction you can walk down a lovely path through the development and woods (about 5 minutes) to the marketplace which has a coffee shop, cute grocery store, two restaurants, ice cream, candy, toy store, etc. with live entertainment in the evenings.

The cottage itself was charming; the quintessential Cape Cod vibe, but with many updated features such as modern kitchen appliances, dishwasher, laundry, and central AC. It was clean and very comfortable and well-equipped without being cluttered. Plenty of closet space to store your belongings and the development itself is quiet and friendly. Bonus was the girls' room, decorated as "under the sea" with super cute wall murals. The girls just loved it.

We'd love to visit again someday! Marie was a wonderful host and easy to reach with questions, suggestions, and assistance any time it was needed. Thank you!
*If you have little ones, definitely bring a gate for the top of the stairs as there is not much of an upstairs landing and could be tricky for them. Also recommend bringing a laundry basket if you're like me and did laundry the whole time I was on vacation!

We stayed at Marie's cottage in early September and had a wonderful time. The cottage was beautifully furnished and very clean. Maria was a great host and very responsive. The location was perfect for our stay. We loved the private beach and the setting in Maushop Village. We visited the nearby Mashpee Commons shopping area multiple times. The ferries for Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket were only 20-30 minutes away so it was perfect foe exploring the area!

I grew up on Cape Cod and so never really fully appreciated all that a summer stay had to offer. This year--after three years without a visit home--we decided to rent this lovely cottage rather than stay in my childhood home to make it feel more like a "vacation." We are so thrilled we did! This cottage in Maushop Village is PERFECT for a family, especially one with small children. My two young girls (ages 5 and almost 4) simply LOVED their adorable bedroom, finding different sea creatures on the wall murals throughout the home, and playing "restaurant" on the small balcony off the master bedroom with ocean views. The private beach is just steps away--easy for schlepping all the beach gear a family requires, and no need to worry about fighting crowds or finding parking. The cottage is within short walking distance of the marketplace that offers great food, mini golf, and free concerts on the weekend. Maushop Village itself is stunning with incredible landscaping and very private. Every morning our family would take a walk with our girls on their scooters, and we were never worried about traffic. This cottage also offers air conditioning--a rarity on the Cape and a must for me--that we only needed to use a couple of nights with the lovely cross breezes on both first and second floor. Our host welcomed us with beach toys for the girls, lemonade, and wine for the parents with a lovely note. She was so responsive throughout the rental process and so easy to work with. We look forward to coming back next year, and years to come.

We had an amazing time! You can't beat a 60 second walk to the beach. We especially loved having a drink on the balcony with a great view of the ocean.

Had a beautiful week at Marie and Alex's home in Maushop village at New Seabury! The house was just perfect for our family of 4. My kids loved the under water themed bedroom and all the decorations on the wall. The house was very charming and was very clean. We also loved that the laundry room was upstairs right next to or bedrooms which made it easy to wash our clothes and towels!

We were walking distance to the beach and could see the ocean from the house. We were also walking distance to the Popponesset Marketplace which has live music every night!

Such a special place to stay and we can't wait to go back!

Perfect cottage fits family. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. Lovely liquid dish and hand soap. Marie left special cookies and wine for us to enjoy.

Our family had a great time at this sweet cottage in Maushop Village! We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and local shops. Our stay included hours of fun at the nearby fishing pond, long bike rides, beach days, and serene nights overlooking the neighborhood and water view from the outdoor areas.

Marie was an extremely responsive host and we appreciated the special touches we were treated to as guests. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, quaint home! Perfect for our family vacation. Being able to walk to the beach, sit out on the porch with a view of the ocean, and have plenty to do with our young kids - amazing! Marie and Alex were super responsive and made us feel right at home. There was even a thoughtful welcome gift on the table when we arrived!

We had a great stay at this sweet little vacation rental. It had all of the amenities you would need. And just steps to the beach as well as the marketplace! We were able to walk to get oysters, ice cream, coffee and breakfast, really anything you need for a relaxing vacation. Maria was extremely responsive from the moment I reached out to her regarding the rental and throughout our stay. She was able to answer questions we had very quickly and help us feel relaxed and at home.
