    Serene, relaxing getaway

    What a wonderful property. This home is tastefully decorated, comfortable, and welcoming. There were six adults, 4 young grandsons and two babies that enjoyed a quality family gathering. The kitchen is well equipped and has plenty of counter space. It has a beautiful farm sink and a window that slides open like an accordion between kitchen and patio. The beds were all comfortable.

    Our grandsons enjoyed fishing from the dock. They caught plenty of crabs, no fish. They did not care...they had so much fun. They tossed a ball around in the huge driveway and enjoyed riding their scooters around the picturesque roads. We all enjoyed walking around this lovely area...such a gem of a place! show more show less

    My family has been spending summers on Popponesset Island for forty years. We live and work in Mashpee and decided to completely renovate our family home and offer it for rent. We want to share it with others who wish to create lasting memories for their family and friends. The dock allows direct access to all the best boating that Cape Cod has to offer and is also particularly good for kayaking, paddle boarding, or canoeing. Easy access to fishing and beaches. My wife and I live less than 1/4 mile away from the house and can offer lots of local information.

    What is special about this property?
    Popponsset Island is a unique place on Cape Cod. The New Seabury marina has a boat ramp and gas dock and is in the neighborhood less than a quarter mile away. The marina also rents kayaks and paddle boards and has charter fishing. Our house is a classic post and beam house that is very open and great for entertaining. It has a covered cabana with direct access to the kitchen through a large, sliding window with a countertop bar.

    The handicap accessible features accommodate elderly guests very well so all generations of family members can feel comfortable in the house.

    What is special about your town?
    Popponesset Island is located in the neighborhood of New Seabury. Beaches, restaurants, mini golf, bars, golf courses are all part of the attractions. It is a great neighborhood for excising with bike paths, walking trails and a friendly, casual group of residents who all have one thing in common, we love spending time here.
