Enchanting Cottage - one block to Osterville Village!

We had a wonderful two weeks at this cottage. It was so close to town and in short walking distance of beach, farmer's market, AM yoga at the library and more......The house had privacy within (from room to room) and outside of the unit. The birds in the backyard area were an added bonus!

Our family of 4 had a truly wonderful time at this property located in the quaint town of Osterville.
The house had everything we could ask for, a true Cape Cod vacation.
Short drive or bike to the local beaches, cute town, delicious restaurants, ice cream, Fancy's market and a cozy place to return to after a busy day exploring the cape. The deck out back was the perfect way to start and end each day. The owners take great care of the property and were very attentive with any needs we had. Marie is a wonderful host. Great location and immaculate with all the amenities of home. Owners local and very attentive if needed. Just as pictured and even better when you are there enjoying it. The only negative thing I can say is "it's NOT MINE". Wish I never sold my second home on the Cape. I will definitely be back….

We have vacationed in Osterville for more than 25 years and love the town and everything it has to offer. This house is perfected situated in downtown Osterville with everything in reach! The hostess is very accommodating and the house has everything you need for a fabulous, relaxing vacation – including a beautiful backyard. We have stayed at numerous places in town and this has been our favorite. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely LOVED this beautiful cottage. The location was perfect- tucked into a cute little residential neighborhood which was walking distance to Joshua Pond and to Osterville Village and very short drive (or long walk) to Dowes Beach. We enjoyed Wimpy's (seafood) for dinner, the Pineapple Caper Cafe for breakfast, and Fancy's Market for a variety of gourmet and prepared foods, wine, etc. (all walking distance).

The cottage itself was bright, cheery, newly remodeled with plenty of seating in the living room (huge sectional), a king size bed in the master bedroom and fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to cook simple or elaborate meals.

Our favorite part of the cottage, however, was the back deck and yard. We could have literally sat for hours and watched all the wonderful life back there- tons of birds, squirrels, chipmunks. Marie has created a garden oasis both in the front and back yards and a bird habitat which was wonderful for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. I honestly can't think of a better location in the area as a launching point to explore the Cape.

The owner was incredibly responsive and answered all of our questions quickly. The only negative is that we wished we could have stayed longer. Our family of 4 had a great time and hope to be back! show more show less
