My husband and I have been visiting the Cape since we were dating (now 4 grandchildren later!!). We love it on the Cape, and have rented for years, mostly in the Pocasset/North Falmouth area. In 2018 we were staying in Pocasset on vacation and walking our granddaughter and saw a very small ''For Sale by Owner'' sign at 430 Barlows Landing Road. We had looked for a vacation house on the Cape for years - this seemed like it was meant to be our home. We have enjoyed rehabilitating the original house, built in circa 1820. Our builder feels like the original house was built on the mainland, and traveled across the ice (now the Cape Cod Canal) by being pulled by horses. A large addition was added to the original house with large bedrooms and bathrooms, outside shower, and rocking chair porch and was completed in 2020. What is special about this property?
Our house at 430 Barlows Landing is an excellent location for going to the beach, boating, kayaking, fishing, and golfing. We are three houses to the Barlows Landing Beach and have water views. The house sits on a picture perfect corner lot with a picket fence and lots of room to play frisbee or corn hole. We love water sports and the house has two kayaks and a paddleboard for your use. Our neighborhood is friendly and quiet.
The house has four bedrooms - two on the first floor and two on the second floor. Bedrooms contain the following beds: king (second floor), queen (first floor), queen (first floor), two double beds (second floor). There is also a youth/toddle bed and a baby's dressing table in the bedroom with the king bed.
There are three full baths - one on the first floor with curbless shower, and two on the second floor. One has a tub/shower and the other has a shower. Central air throughout
Our kitchen has every amenity needed - service for 12; lobster pot, baking dishes, coffee maker, Keurig, kitchen towels, etc. There are two large TV's with cable, wifi, internet, etc.
We provide blankets and pillows; you will need to bring your own sheets and towels.
There is an outside shower when you come home from the beach - love it!
We are about 10 minutes from the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
We keep a rotating library of books and games for all ages; a children's reading nook is on the 2nd floor.
We use an electronic keypad for your convenience.

What is special about your town?
Pocasset is a short distance from the Bourne Bridge, which makes it a wonderful, close location when visiting Cape Cod from the mainland. We are close to Woods Hole, Sandwich, Falmouth, and Hyannis for dining, golf, shopping, minigolf or whale watching. Our quiet neighborhood is lovely to walk in the morning or evening.
