This house is terrific. Close to the beach and updated, it has room to spread out. We were six adults, and we never felt we were on top of ourselves. All the appliances are updated, and the kitchen is easy to cook in. We used the grill, and there was an extra propane tank in case we ran out (we did not). As long-time renters in Poppensett, we are used to bringing our own chairs and umbrellas, but there was no need; the house had more than enough for us. We will leave them at home next year. The front deck was wonderful to sit on in the mornings, drinking our coffee and in the afternoon for cocktails. The back deck had a nice big table that we ate our dinners at.

This is a stand-alone home, well-kept and well-equipped, and which is literally less than one EZ walk block to a very fine, private beach. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, fully-equipped kitchen and leisure room with large flat screen TV, wireless WiFi router, etc. Downstairs is a completely separate living area with beds, TV, private bath, etc.

The outside decks are great and feature outdoor furniture, tables, propane BBQ grill, etc., and there is also an outdoor shower for beach sand. The owner has also provided some beach chairs, umbrella and some other beach toys. Beds were comfortable, A/C was very effective. Walking distance to some good local restaurants and shopping.

We had a great stay here. The cottage is the perfect spot for our family vacation. It has plenty of space and is clean and well stocked. The location is ideal...close to the beach and the marketplace.

This was our second year here and we will be back next year. We have rented a lot of cottages over the past 30 years and this is the best one!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. It was extremely well stocked with kitchen/cooking utensils, linens and towels, even soaps and tissue. There was plenty of room for the kids (ages 12, 11 and 5) to enjoy a movie or a game in the downstairs rec room while the adults socialized on the ground floor kitchen/family room combo.

The outdoor space was well furnished and comfortable and the backyard, green and private. We were a very short walk to the beach which was handy for kids. Hope we have another chance to enjoy this property. show more show less

We have stayed in many Popponessett cottages over the past 30 years and this was definitely our favorite! Great location, nice front and back porches, air conditioned, and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Julie was very responsive to any questions we had. We have already booked for next year!

We didn't plan on going to the Cape until several days before we were to leave and we found this listing was available. We are so thankful that we did! Julie was fantastic to work with, helped to facilitate everything so we wouldn't miss our vacation window. Beautiful, well appointed house on the nicest block leading directly to beach—three minute walk. Inside was spotless with all updated amenities—perfect floor plan as well with master upstairs and kids on lower level. Popponesset is undoubtedly one of the nicest beaches on the Cape. House is conveniently situated, super close to Mashpee Commons and New Seabury. Falmouth and Woods Hole are a 15 minute drive. Highly recommend this property not only for the house and the location, but also for ease of dealing with the owner. We will be back next year for sure! show more show less
