Description

Enjoy amazing views toward Captain Jack’s Wharf, the harbor, and Long Point lighthouse from this gracious, 400 square foot, beachfront studio with an airy sleeping loft including a study and dressing areas. Central AC, vaulted ceilings, huge windows, a large deck with both private and shared spaces. A private deck space features wicker arm chairs and a round table for four with an umbrella and potted plants.

The studio includes lovely furnishings, blue and white décor, wireless Internet access, board games, books, 100% cotton sheets, and quilts. There is parking for one car, a luxurious new shower bath with glass shower walls, fluffy towels, and mosaic tiles. In addition to AC, other amenities include cable TV with Netflix, wifi, and a coin operated washer/dryer. Note: there are steep captain’s steps to loft area, so it is not suitable for small children, bad knees, nor for the inebriated! If you are a party animal, this unit and the building are not for you!

The small and efficient kitchen includes a two burner glass cooktop, counter top oven, toaster, coffee pot, blender, electric tea kettle, great bar ware, fun dishes and serving pieces, colorful glassware, good knives, and more.

The unit is located in the lovely West End, on the ocean side of Commercial Street, second floor. The condominium is within a nine unit building, perfect for those seeking peace, quiet, and relaxation — not a party building, and quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am. The building is far enough out of town to be quiet, but is a short walk from the center of town. The building is on the harbor beach—access the beach via stairs from the shared lower level deck. Wade in at high tide and go for a swim. You might even see a seal! Simply Beautiful!

About renting this wonderful spot: This condo is awesome with wonderful views, high ceilings, and great light. The unit is on the second floor and there is no elevator. Please see the photos for the picture of the stairs leading to the sleeping loft; make sure you are comfortable with the ship-style stairs. There is tandem parking for one car.

And, please note that the queen bed is on the floor tucked under the eaves. On one's stomach, there are fabulous views over the harbor. Make sure you are comfortable with the location of the bed.

This is an airy, magical, lovely space in a wonderful part of town, in a very special place on earth...

    What a wonderful spot!

This condo is in the best location, is so clean, beautifully decorated, and charming. We had such a wonderful, walking on the beach, browsing in town, and reading on the deck. We will be back!

We just love this condo! While we used to walk around town and to the beach, this space and idyllic spot are so beautiful and magical that we just say to ourselves: why leave!?

The views are amazing, and with the windows open it feels like being outdoors. On the deck, we can be comfortable with a lunch from Relish--right downstairs--and grab a beer or a cold drink from the frig. The boats, gulls, and seals make for great entertainment.

The linens are soft and comfy, the dishes and so forth are not generic rental gear, but are charming and a delight to use.

    We will be back!

Copied from HomeAway.com: We had a great stay for New Years at the end of 2018! While it was cold and breezy, the streets were lively with lights, music, party goers, and street dancers. We had a great dinner and cocktails in town. The condo was spotlessly clean, with wonderful views of the harbor and the lighthouse. There were lots of ducks in front of the condo. It was fun sleeping in the loft, and the high ceilings and great art made it feel like a very special place. All the details are charming: mugs, wine glasses, toss pillow, etc. Don't hesitate! This is a special spot. show more show less

    What a delightful suprise!

Having lost a long-time rental on the West End of town after many years (due to the sale of the property,) I found this listing on line and thought I'd "take a chance" on something new. What a delightful surprise! From the initial contact with the owner, I was made to feel welcome and right at home. The biggest surprise was walking through the door on the day I arrived. I don't know what I actually expected, but all I can say, is that (unfortunately) the pictures on the listing do not do justice to this rental. The pictures don't begin to accurately describe the charm/beauty of this space. Although it is basically one large room, providing all the amenities listed (kitchen/living room space with an 'upstairs' sleeping/dressing loft space) the room itself is bordered on one side with a wall-to-wall window that overlooks the bay (the picture does not do it justice!) It is the whole width of the room and the view of the water/harbor is overwhelmingly spectacular! It simply took my breath away when I walked in. Add to this, the wonderful patio space that offers the same magnificent views. It is a 'quiet' complex on the 'quiet' West End of town . . . which I just love. I will be returning in September 2019, and I hope this is the beginning of a very long friendship/relationship. show more show less

The condo was clean and comfy with beautiful views of the water. Inside was light and airy with nice artwork. The appliances, countertops, and furniture all looked like they were in great condition. There was wifi (very reliable), cable tv, Scrabble, and puzzles for lazy days in, as well as beach chairs, a floating dock, and plenty of outdoor activities for the nice summer weather. The deck and beach were perfect places to unwind and relax. We loved how the area around the condo was fairly residential and quiet, but it was just a short walk away from the shops, restaurants, and bars. There is a detailed binder in the condo that discusses all of the amenities and anything you need to know about the condo as well as offering ideas of things to do and places to see while in town. I would highly recommend Waterfront West #5 to anyone wanting to spend time in Provincetown. It has kept us coming back time and again. show more show less

Absolutely breathtaking views of the Provincetown harbor from a very nice, comfortable condo unit right on the water in the quiet West End of town. Easy access to the town center, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Very clean, bright, well-decorated and comfortable unit with nice artwork.

This sweet condominium suited my partner and me perfectly. Right from my first communications with our hostess, Susan, I knew we'd be in good hands. She was thorough and accurate in her description of the place; she answered my many questions even before we signed the agreement and always with good cheer and even humor.

The moment we pulled up to the condo--in its great location-- and opened the front door, we were again assured that we had found the perfect place. It was VERY clean, bright, well-furnished and the view out the window was stunning. Depending on the tide, it was either bright blue sky and water, or sandy beach with bright colored dingys waiting for the water to reanimate them. From the deck we sat for hours watching seals jumping after mackerel that leaped in the air, creating waves.

The linens felt good, the towels plush, even the soap was delightful. The kitchen was well-equipped and included everything one needs for this type of holiday. The bed in the loft made us giggle and feel like kids in a treehouse. Yes, as Susan carefully points out, the stairs are steep but we just pretended we were on a ship and after the first day, were totally used to them.

The location is great for being just enough off the beaten path to be away from the commotion, but just steps to the east and you could be in the thick of it. The building was also very quiet and not once did we hear our neighbors. Relish is just downstairs and perfect for coffee, pastry and other goodies. The Red Inn became our favorite restaurant and was just down the road to the west. Bike rental and the supermarket were also close by.

Well, you can see by my words here that we fully recommend this delightful home from home--not a single disappointment! Thank you Susan!

Best place I have stayed in Provincetown! This unit is amazing, the high ceilings and great views are so relaxing and gorgeous. I love to read, and there is no better spot than to sit on the deck with something cold and enjoy the breezes, the view, and the setting. Everything was in excellent shape when we arrived, and Susan was friendly and helpful. We will be back.

What a beautiful and inspiring spot! The condo was spotless when we arrived, and the sunlight poured in the big windows and highlighted the ocean scene. The sheets and towels were soft and of high quality, it was great to have spices and oils, and the new bathroom was great. We barely went anywhere, just sat on the deck and watched the gulls and boats. I highly recommend this condo!

My husband and I live in the Boston area, and purchased this wonderful condo in 2008. My aunt Alice Foley was the town nurse during the 1980s and 1990s, and she shared her love of Ptown with me throughout her 40 years living in this special slice of the planet.

We have two sons in their 20's, and a fun and energetic dog named Ruby.

What is special about this property?
The high ceilings, breathtaking views, and breezes make this spot relaxing, spiritually moving, inspiring, and revitalizing.

We use the condo quite a bit ourselves, and rent it out when we are unable to be there. It is not a standard rental unit, but is more nicely decorated, better equipped, and more lovely than most rental units.

What is special about your town?
Provincetown! Ptown, at the very tip of Cape Cod, is called Lands End by locals and those who love her, and offers a National Seashore setting with the very best shops, restaurants, street scene, and entertainment opportunities on the Cape.
