Although not direct waterfront, access to Commercial Street is just a stroll down the garden pathway with 2 different waterfront accesses located nearby on the opposite side of Commercial street, including Kendal Lane beach - perfect for someone who would like to sit/walk at low tide on the flats, stroll along the water's edge or go for a swim! With tennis courts just steps away, if you love to play tennis or want to learn - this is a great location for those wanting a quiet yard thats still close to everything, or if you are seeking a dog or family-friendly environment. Ground floor makes it easy with a pet and we are close to center of town, yet in a relaxed area. It's an easy walk, bike or pedicab to the center of everything, and you can also catch the shuttle which can be waved down to stop at top of path.
Our place is good for couples, a group of friends, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and if pre-approved before booking, we may even be able to host a dog :)
This is a private home, not a condo — a classic Provincetown two-family duplex. We reserve the upper unit for our own occasional use, though we typically aren’t there very often. Guests have exclusive use of the entire lower garden-level unit, including a gorgeous brand-new paver patio in front, perfect for outdoor seating and garden dining.
The property also features beautifully landscaped outdoor areas with a mix of exclusive and shared garden spaces to enjoy. The upstairs unit is reserved strictly for family use, but you'll barely notice as we are only there very occasionally.

Here's more about the property:

LOCATION: Located in the East End, it's just a 2 minute bike ride or 12-15 min walk to the heart of town! So if you figure 320 Commercial St is where the Macmillan pier is, and 1000 Commercial St is Beach Point where the beginning of Provincetown starts, we are located in the 500's - so about the middle of the artsy East End.

One of the unique things about this home is that it is set well back from the street and tucked away off the road, which typically makes for a much quieter and more relaxing setting than many of the busier spots in town.
A charming garden path included with the property leads directly down to Commercial Street. From there, you can enjoy an easy waterfront stroll, with several different public water access points just a short walk away.
The same path also leads up to the Public Tennis Club, which is open for everyone to enjoy. Guests can play, take lessons for themselves or their kids, practice their game, or even arrange a pickup match with locals or fellow vacationers. There’s also a great ping pong table in the clubhouse just across the street!

PETS: We love pets and understand how difficult it can be to find pet-friendly accommodations in Provincetown, especially with many condo associations having strict anti-renter pet policies. Fortunately, this property is an exception!

We’ve had great experiences hosting pets for over 3 decades because guests have always been thoughtful and communicative about their animals ahead of time. To help ensure the best fit for everyone, pets may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but please discuss them with us before completing your booking so they can be properly added to the rental agreement.

A pet fee and refundable deposit apply for each approved pet. These charges may be handled separately after the initial booking is confirmed.

Please consider that your pet must be:
- Easy going, laid back and not a puppy (sorry, too many prior chewing / peeing accidents)
- On flea + tick treatment
- Up to date on vaccinations
- 100% housebroken and able to do it's business outside at all times
- Non-damaging

To be considerate of our neighbors, we do ask that your pet be:
- Non-Aggressive towards people and other pets
- We do realize dogs bark on occasion! Your pet should be relatively non-barking or at least not excessively so
- Not going to be left alone for excessively long periods
- And of course, you must be willing and able to clean up immediately each day after your pet in the provided pet yard.

GROUND FLOOR ACCESS: Although not technically 'Handicapped Accessible' (this is hard to find in Ptown in a private home), this is a ground floor unit. The front doorway is probably not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair easily, but if someone recently had knee surgery or something similar this might not be a bad location for a person with some limited mobility as there are very few steps. The front door is *flush* with the outside paver patio. Once inside, there are no steps to the kitchen, living room, laundry or dining area. There are 1 or 2 steps down into the bedrooms. There are no steps to Bradford street, but there is steep ramp down to the garden pathway that goes to Commercial street. There is one step up if you wish to use the outdoor shower, although there are no steps to the inside bathroom.

PARKING: Parking is off-street for one vehicle, with on the street possible for any additional vehicles

BBQ GRILL: You may use the owner's Gas Grill, which is in the common space anytime! - please provide your own Propane fill and we ask that guests clean up after every use. Thanks! read more show less
