This charming cape colonial sits within Sandwich Downs and is just a short walk or quick golf cart ride to the private association beach. We provide the golf cart! Not to mention, the property sits on an acre lot with beautiful landscaping and lots of privacy. There is also an outdoor bar with heaters, a sports court for basketball lovers, and an outdoor shower. Perks include central air, washer/dryer, dishwasher, water filtration system, and grill.

This 2500+ square foot home features 4 bedrooms on the second floor; one bedroom has a bunk bed with a full bottom/twin top, one bedrooms has a full bed and twin bunk beds, and there are two rooms with queen beds. There’s a full bathroom upstairs as well.

The first floor features a Master Bedroom with a King-sized bed, adjacent to a master bathroom with an oversized walk-in shower and laundry. It is also attached to an office space that is furnished with a crib.

Additional first-floor features include an original eat-in kitchen that has been recently upgraded, while still keeping that Cape Cod charm and design from a local builder. Open concept informal dining room and living room with stone hearth fireplace is the perfect place to gather after a lovely day at the beach, or after spending the day downtown exploring Sandwich and the rest of Cape Cod’s charm.

A newly renovated basement suite includes an additional bedroom with a full bed, a futon, a desk, and a full bathroom this is perfect for older children, grandparents, or bringing a sitter along.

    Charming Cod Cod Rental

    Our family, parents, and sisters family had an unforgettable stay at this dream beach house! The spacious, charming Cape Colonial offered a perfect retreat for our large family. With many places to relax and unwind at the house it never felt overcrowded. The short 7-minute walk to the beach made it a convenient escape at any time of day. The private beach even on the busiest time of Summer never was overcrowded. The private and quiet yard was my parents/ grandparent's dream. My favorite part was the outdoor bar, and sport court where the adults could hang out while the kids played on the court… it added delightful outdoor options.

    Inside the home there ample room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The thoughtful amenities, including central air, washer/dryer, and WiFi, made our stay even more enjoyable.

    Overall, this charming Cape Cod beach house exceeded our expectations, providing a perfect blend of comfort, style, and coastal charm. We're already planning our next visit to this idyllic beach getaway!     show more show less

    Perfect generational family vacation home!

    The house is even MORE spacious than one would think looking at the pictures (which look spacious!) There were three "grands," seven adults, two preteens and two babies. Plenty of sleeping arrangements with privacy, too! All the amenities you need for cooking and grilling, adirondeck seating outside by basketball court and tiki "hut." What most impressed me was the quality of the furniture, beds, towels, kitchen mugs and plates. Johannah was extremely responsive to any needs or helping us with how to operate cooling and tv. Dining area with counter set up fit all of us nicely, but there is also a deck with table and chairs outside. Walk or golf cart to the beach--so easy. Lovely neighborhood to walk, jog in as well. Beach is rocky as much of that side of the cape is, but this did not take away from the fun we had! (I do recommend water shoes!) Not sure next summer's vacation will take us to the Cape, but if we do it will be at Johannah's house in East Sandwich! show more show less

    My husband and I grew up in Massachusetts (Lynn & Somerville) but are raising our family in Goffstown, New Hampshire. We are lucky enough to have flexible jobs in sales and the pharmaceutical industry that allow us to work from different places such as our Cape house. We have enjoyed several vacations to Sandwich, Cape Cod and hope that you will too!

    What is special about this property?
    My husband grew up going to this neighborhood and still has plenty of friends that live and/or summer here. We started going here in the summer when my son was a baby. I fell in love with the neighborhood and the proximity to a private beach. It was just so nice to be able to walk down the street and be at the beach, no need to pack up the kiddos, the car, all of that! After a few trips, I told my husband if we ever buy a second home I would love it to be here. After looking at several homes, we were lucky to purchase this home that we love so much! Our kids call their friends in the neighborhood their "cousins". We hope you enjoy and fall in love with Sandwich Downs like we did!

    What is special about your town?
    My favorite thing about this home is the outdoor space. Not only are you a short walk from a private association beach, but when you get home there is so much space for multiple families to enjoy. We always travel with other families, siblings, in-laws or grandparents and there is enough space for all of us. The yard is set back and private, so I can be cooking in the kitchen and not worrying about the kids running off. My son loves the sport court to play basketball and I love that I can sit under the heat lamps of the outdoor bar if it's a cool night! We love being at the beginning of the cape too which lessens the drive with kiddos. There are plenty of places to enjoy in Sandwich and plenty of surrounding cape towns that are just a short drive.
