Chris is a contractor by trade and lover of sport...he is an avid runner and snowboarder. He is also a wonderful artist with emphasize on watercolors...many of which can be viewed in our home and galleries in the area.
Marcia is a dance teacher who runs her school in central Massachusetts.
We have been very fortunate to own and live in a National Historic Landmark which we have opened as a Bed and Breakfast (The General Rufus Putnam House) to share with others. We take pride in our homes and look forward to you enjoying your stay with us.

What is special about this property?
''Clo-sea-nuf'' is the name of our home and is just that. Close enough to the water to enjoy all the ocean has to offer and set back far enough to be protected from storms. Being located in Sandwich makes the drive to the cape short and sweet. Once over the bridge we are only about 10 min. to the house.
The house is set so that you have wonderful views of the marsh and breathtaking sunsets that reflect into the kitchen, making doing dishes a whole new experience.
The wrap around deck allows you to manage the sun and/or shade. There is always a side with the sun and always one with shade, so you can go from morning til night in a spot that suits you.
The dune deck is a peace of heaven. Tucked into the dune, surrounded by beach plums and rosa rugosa, the dune deck is offers an alternative deck for those who want to be right on the beach. On the deck is another patio set for dining and outdoor electric outlet for blenders, etc. It is a real treat.
The outdoor shower, with hot and cold water, is located at the bottom of the stairs of the house deck and is tucked in under the beach plums and rosa rugosa creating a private area to shower under the stars.
A walk down the beach to the West brings you to the end of our barrier reef where you look over to the Sandwich boardwalk. Crossing up and over the dune at the end brings you over to the marsh side with spectacular views of the marsh and the estuaries that run along the road that leads back to the house.

What is special about your town?
Sandwich center is just down the road from our home and offers restaurants, shopping, ice cream shops and miniature golf. Heritage museum is a wonderful place to take the family to see the exhibits or just walk the grounds and end up at the carousel for a ride with the kids.
The Sandwich marina is just down the road and offers three restaurants and a bike path that runs along the canal for 6.5 miles to the Wareham train bridge. The path is flat and easy to walk or ride with families.
There is also the famous boardwalk located off Jarvis Street where the kids love to jump off the bridge during high tide.
Sandwich also has a cinema complex and restaurants nearby.
