To ensure top placement in search results, WeNeedaVacation constantly adjusts strategies based upon changes in the rules and guidelines set forth by search engines

In addition, pay-per-click (PPC) is often implemented to supplement organic rankings. Originally, focused on Google Ads, paid ads also appear on Bing and social channels.

Lastly, for increased world-wide exposure, WeNeedaVacation.com has often partnered with aggregator websites. In the past, these have included Dwellable.com and Tripping.com, and now includes the site HomeToGo.com. As an aggregator, HomeToGo lists rentals from multiple sites on a single platform, allowing for vacationers to search and compare rentals across these sites. In 2020 alone, HomeToGo provided a 10% increase in visitors who inquired on WeNeedaVacation listings, to whom we are now able to re-market.

Email Marketing

Email Marketing has evolved throughout the years. Gone are the days when a single email blast to tens of thousands of subscribers is successful. Today, we use targeted email marketing strategies to help personalize their content and thus optimize their delivery. As a result, we often observe Open Rates well over 30% and a high level of engagement.

Our vacationer audience consists of over 115K subscribers, the majority of whom have visited the Cape & Islands and are familiar with vacation rentals, and that number is constantly growing. In 2020 alone, our vacationer audience grew by over 31K opt-in vacationers.
