Simple, easy and comfortable Island home

We had the fortune of staying at Steve and Liz's Vineyard home this summer. We're a family of five with three kids (14 and 12) and the size was perfect for our family. Everyone had plenty of space, enough bathrooms, an awesome outdoor shower and a lovely yard canopied by trees. The house stayed a comfortable temperature, and the serene sounds of the ferry could be heard in the distance throughout our stay. We spent a lot of time in Oak Bluffs, an easy walk with plenty of entertainment for the kids and a remarkable history that's on display. It's a one-of-a-kind place, and there wasn't a time during our trip where we didn't feel lucky to be here. A bit further, but also quite walkable, was Vineyard Haven. You feel very central to amenities and different beach options at this location. Our family spent time in Aquinnah (highly recommended) and drove to Katama multiple times to swim, a beach I can't speak highly enough about. Great waves, warm water, not crowded, and an easy 20 minute drive from the house. Steve and Liz are awesome, and the place came as advertised. But, you have to visit to see for yourself. The cottage is located just a short walk or quick bike ride into town. The location is perfect. The home is well equipped and decorated. It is on a quiet dead end street which is perfect if you are travelling with children or pets. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to all wanting to spend some time on the Vineyard. We enjoyed the beaches, bike riding, eating out and ice cream!

We love staying at Liz and Steve's beautiful Vineyard house. Our family of four feels that it's our special place on the Vineyard and have been renting it for (unbelievable) 17 years! They've continually improved the home in small and large ways and we always feel comfortable and carefree when we're there.

We love that we can hop on our bikes and be at the beautiful Eastville Beach in less than 10 minutes or bike over to State Beach so easily. And it's convenient to any stores and grocery shopping in either Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. And walking leisurely on East Chop Road to take in the ocean views and see the gorgeous homes there, right down the street, is just dreamy!

Our kids (now 25) also feel like it's "their place" on the Vineyard. It's been a part of their childhood and growing experience for two weeks every summer for countless years. We always find it sparkling clean and ready for us at our arrival and we take good care of it while we're there. It's a joy to do so.

The house is very well situated for a variety of awesome adventures. We did bike rides, beach days, up island excursions, quick visits to the town center for shopping or an ice cream, and way more.

The place was so comfortable that it felt more like home than just our home base. We never felt like rushing out the door to do stuff, yet still had an action-packed week. Having digs that are comfortable and convenient makes a huge difference and this place nails it.

We have rented this lovely spot for the past few years. It is centrally located, clean and well equipped with everything that you may need for a beautiful vacation on the Vineyard. The deck and outdoor shower are favorites. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable with very responsive owners. Always a great time!

This house has been a vacation spot for our family for the past 5 years - grandkids and all!
There are three bedrooms, a shared comfortable living room and open kitchen.The house is spacious and welcoming with a big outdoor wrap around deck. The house is also well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and cabinet space for cooking and grilling delicious meals at home. The location is fantastic - right between Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven.
