The home is fully furnished including washer/dryer, gas BBQ, central air conditioning and a large custom outdoor shower with changing room. The wrap around covered porch provides the perfect perch to people watch, BBQ, dine, read or play cards.
The 1st floor has new flooring & windows throughout and is newly furnished creating a clean, contemporary interior. Accessed from a main stair (living room) or a ‘secret’ stair (kitchen) the 2nd floor features painted floors and new windows. The lower level provides a comfortable and light filled family room w large TV. This renovated Victorian is unique from any other in the Copeland District! Location, Location, Location – A short walk (2 blocks) to Circuit Avenue (Oak Bluffs historic main street) and you will find activities for all ages: shopping, restaurants, the Flying Horses carousel, galleries, nightlife, movie theaters, public transportation and bike rentals. This Ginger Bread Cottages and Tabernacle of ‘The Campground’ provide a wonderful destination for live music, a play or just a quiet evening stroll. Walk 2 more blocks and you will be at the Oak Bluffs harbor: from here you can arrange water sport, fishing and boating excursions. Within eye-shot of the house is Niantic Park with public tennis (and pickle-ball) courts, children’s playground and a basketball court. Walk 2 blocks to magnificent Ocean Park and listen to the town band concert on Sunday night or simply admire the majestic Victorian homes that wrap around the park. Walk or ride a bike on the bike path to State Beach, a pristine three mile barrier beach on Nantucket Sound. For the golfer there is the Farm Neck golf course just down the road (1.5 miles).     Lovely home- prime location

    We loved the location. Being in town was such a treat. The porch was just lovely. We enjoyed having coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Fun to people watch!
    We got to know some of the neighbors, who stop by to chat. Home is in walking distance to circuit avenue and the beach. We cook meals and walk to many restaurants on circuit. Owners are very responsive. Would definitely rent this property again.

    Amazing stay

    This is a superb location! A few minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes to shops. We were a party of 6 and accommodations were perfect for us. Home was welcoming and spacious. Owner was very responsive when needed. This was my first visit to MV and I'd rent this home again!

    This was a great rental for our family. It's very close to the beach and Circuit Ave. The owner did a nice job rehabbing it. The basement bedroom/bathroom set up is open and airy and feels like a private suite. Huge wrap around porch. The owner communicates well. Would highly recommend it.

    Holly and I purchased our very first home, 46 Pennacook Avenue, in 2005. It was a charming cottage with broken windows, no heat and a crumbling foundation! For 5 years we worked nights and weekends (together with family and friends) to revive this cottage into a loving and comfortable family home.

    Holly and I both grew up in southern New Hampshire. Holly graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Master's of Education. I graduated from Northeastern University with a Master's of Architecture.

    We still live in Oak Bluffs, just around the corner with our two daughters. I am a teacher at the Oak Bluffs School and Greg is a Partner at Hutker Architects. We spend our spare time coaching and volunteering in the community and exploring the many wonderful corners of this special island.

    What is special about this property?
    We bought this property nearly 15 years ago. The house was in tough shape, but you literally could not beat the location. Close enough to everything, but not too close!!!
    There's nothing better than walking to the beach in the morning, hanging out on the porch in the afternoon and walking into town for dinner and nightlife. You just can't beat it.

    What is special about your town?
    Our stretch of Pennacook Avenue is quite possibly the best little neighborhood in Oak Bluffs, possibly on Martha's Vineyard!!! With a mix of year 'round residents, multi-generational families and seasonal residents you will find your stay on Pennacook to be most relaxing and enjoyable.

    My family has spent many memorable evenings, relaxing on our amazing front porch. We hope you choose to spend time doing the same!
