This tranquil family summer home on East Chop is just minutes from the public beach and a fifteen minute walk to the Oak Bluffs ferries. The main house has 4 bedrooms and two baths. The additional charming cottage has 1 bedroom with a bath, and the apartment over the garage has a large bedroom/living area with a bath. The main floor of the house has a large and beautiful cook's kitchen with a big central island and adjoining dining area surrounded by windows looking out on the back garden. The first floor also includes a large living room with fireplace, cozy dining room with seating for 12 people, bedroom, bath, and expansive front porch and back deck. The upper floor has a master bedroom with sleeping porch, a kids sleeping room with 4 beds and outdoor porch, a third bedroom and a bath. There is an outdoor shower as well.

The garage is used for storage with lot of bikes and beach gear and a washer/dryer. Above the garage is a modern apartment with cathedral ceiling, study nook, and nice views over the trees. On the other side of the property is a private cottage with a queen bed and bath.

A large driveway offers plenty of room for cars. Property is surrounded by park land on two sides. East Chop Drive is a three minute walk away, and the public beach adjacent to the East Chop Beach Club is a safe and easy five minute walk from the house. All the amenities of Oak Bluffs including supermarket, restaurants, movies, ice cream, fudge, carousel and ferry are within fifteen minutes' walk from the house.

We ask tenants to please provide their own linens, or rent them from Takemmy linens on the island.

    Amazing place to stay

    Really a wonderful house for a big family! Plenty of room to spread out and the pictures do NOT do this place justice, it was very clean, bright and open. Very nicely decorated with tons of charm. The kitchen was truly amazing and very well appointed. I brought things things I didn't even need to bring because the kitchen already has every appliance and utensil you could possibly imagine. Beach was a 5 minute walk and town was a quick 10-15 minute walk. Caretaker was very responsive! Highly recommend! show more show less

    Wonderful home for Multi-generational Family to stay

    We had a lovely 2 week stay at this property. It worked out wonderfully as we had 3 generations staying here. Our grandmother was able to stay in the cottage, our grandparents in the garage apartment, and then my family, which included an 18 month old, in the main home. It gives plenty of space for everyone, and everyone has their privacy and place to "get away". The large kitchen was definitely the main gathering point and uncommon compared to other houses we have rented. It was clean and bright, and there was even a wonderful swing for our toddler.
