This 4 bedroom newly updated quaint cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood in the Historic Highlands District of Oak Bluffs on beautiful Martha's Vineyard. Steps away from the Harbor, Oak Bluffs' Circuit Ave, the charming bright colored ''gingerbread Houses'' and the ''Flying Horses,'' the oldest carousel in the United States. This central location is very convenient to all down island towns and the Martha's Vineyard Airport, as well as the popular island beaches and restaurants.

Peace and tranquility is what you get when lazing in a rocker reading or people watching on the gorgeous wrap around porch or fire up the grille and BBQ on the patio. Looking for more activity, take a 10 minute stroll onto bustling Circuit Ave.

This bright and airy layout also gives one a warm and cozy feeling. 3 bedrooms upstairs are comprised of a queen bed, a double bed, and a twin bed. Downstairs bedroom is another twin bed. Maximum for sleeping accommodations is 6.
Downstairs has A/C. Window fans and ceiling fans are in the other bedrooms.

Wifi is available and tv's are in the Master and double bedrooms upstairs and the main living area downstairs. Various games and books for your entertainment are also available. Beach chairs are available. Linens/beach towels are provided. Parking on site.

Jetty Beach (1/4 mile), is about a 10 minute walk, the Marina is about 5 minute walk, and Circuit Ave about 8 minute walk. Kid-friendly Inkwell Beach is about 15 minute walk and only 1 block from Circuit Ave. Vineyard Haven is 3 miles away. The VTA Bus is steps from the house to Vineyard Haven or Edgartown.

Our love for the Vineyard goes back generations. This property (Precious Ruby's) named after a descendant, is located in the Historical District of the Highlands and dates back to 1865. It is in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to walk to Oak Bluffs center (Circuit Ave) to enjoy the hustle and bustle during summer season.     Precious Ruby's

    My first impression of the property was impressive. It is quaint and welcoming. The house was decorated in a homey setting. Since it is like being at home, there was fewer things to bring along. I enjoy cooking and there is everything one needs to cook delightful meals. Each bedroom is uniquely decorated. All of the linens were fresh and beds were comfortable. The most enjoyable experience was the wrap-around porch. We were able to sit out and people watch. I felt as if I was home away from home. The brochure the owner provided is certainly informative in keeping the property to the owners expectations and to navigate the island. She was delightful to work with. The proximity of the property to the center of town is helpful in not having to drive, be in traffic or worry about parking. We were able to walk to beach as well.

    This quaint cottage is nicely situated. The proximity of the location offers easy access to many places. Precious Ruby's is safe, clean and quite cozy. The porch was first thing in morning for coffee and last in evening for a glass of wine. Denise was quite accommodating and made us feel very welcome.

The property is located in the Historical District of the Highlands and dates back to 1865. It is in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to walk to Oak Bluffs center (Circuit Ave) to enjoy the hustle and bustle during summer season. Precious Ruby's was one of the homes showcased on the 2014 annual Cottagers tour of the Historic District in Oak Bluffs. I vacationed on the island fo decades before becoming a full time resident in 2010.

    What is special about this property?
    This property is on a quiet street off the beaten path but close enough to take a stroll past the marina to Circuit Ave. The wrap around porch is ideal for people watching, looking reading, enjoying a cold beverage or just napping in the hammock.

    What is special about your town?
    Location of this property is ideal. It is a few minutes from Jetty Beach, a few minutes from the center of town. Bus stop is at corner of street to Vineyard haven and Edgartown. Oak Bluffs houses the first Carousel in the country. You have to experience to really appreciate it. We have Illumination Night where lanterns light up the campground. Gingerbread houses are a must see. There are activities for the young and old alike.
    Martha's Vineyard is its own paradise.
