In town, you will find retail shops, many restaurants (Biscuits, Nancy’s, The Lookout, Giordanos, Dilly’s, Fat Ronnies, and Linda Jeans among many others), the flying horses carousel, a two floor game room and night life entertainment. You can take a leisurely walk by the harbor and eat at one of the many restaurants with harbor views, while people watching.
On your walk to town, go by the Campground and take in the beauty of the historic Gingerbread homes. You will love the architecture and the vibrant colors. On some summer nights, enjoy concerts in the Esplanade, which is located in the Campground. In addition, Ocean Park is located just a few minutes away. It a great place to walk, run, picnic, and take in the beautiful ocean views.
While at home, sit and relax on the stone patio in the backyard. Cook a delicious meal on the gas Webber or charcoal grill. Enjoy the company of friends and family while lounging on the 16x33 back deck with built-in benches, outdoor table with additional seating for four, 9 foot umbrella for shade, and a privacy barrier. The deck can be accessed from the kitchen and living room, and offers outdoor lighting.
The home has a large, well stocked kitchen with an island that opens to the dining room, providing ample seating for 12. It has two microwaves, countertop toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, dishwasher and new refrigerator. We also offer a washer and dryer in the mud room.
The sunny front to back living room features a gas fireplace and large flat screen TV with cable access. Wifi is included.
There are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The first floor bedroom has a queen size bed and flat screen TV. The first floor full bathroom is handicap accessible.
On the second floor, there are 4 additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en suite fully renovated bathroom and a queen size bed. It is located away from the other bedrooms, providing a private oasis.
There are two other bedrooms with queen size beds and one bedroom with 2 twin beds.
When you are ready to go to the beach, the options are endless as Martha’s Vineyard offers miles of beaches. There is South beach, and state beach, amongst many others. Take a 20 minute drive up island to Menemsha and eat fresh fish at the local restaurants. Go for a swim at the pristine beach and save the best for last. Watch the incredible sunset! You must get there early to get a parking space. It is one of the most popular attractions on the island. Make sure to bring your camera!
While up island, also visit the Cliffs. The sights are breathtaking! You will also find some local shops and small eateries. If you don’t want to drive to Menemsha or the Cliffs, you may take a bus from Ocean Park. They have round trips all day.
If you want an indoor pool, take a 10 minute drive to the YMCA. It offers a lap pool and a kiddie pool with a water slide. The kids will love it! There is also a small restaurant on site and plenty of parking.
The Vineyard has so much to offer, including some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. If you want to visit during a quieter time of year, the Spring and Fall are perfect. We offer reduced rates during that time. Come visit and create wonderful memories! show more show less
