We say "Oak Bluffs jumps." To be sure it is the liveliest of the Vineyard towns. Circuit Avenue is the place to be. Lots of life there. Sit on the bench outside Ben and Bill"s Chocolate Emporium (chocolatiers extraordinaire & ice cream flavors for every taste). new benches along the expanded side walks, watch families, teenagers, duffers, duffettes, kids in strollers, kids in tow. All the world"s races, all the world"s attire. All the world"s characters - they will be walking by. You will see them in the time it takes to eat your hot fudge sundae. Ben and Bill is where we get our weekly ice cream fix: Hot fudge layered over Black Forest Ice Cream with whip cream, nuts and a cherry....what could be tastier? Ask if Rose is there, if so tell her Mack is your rental agent. No discount but she will give you her lovely smile. <br /> <br /> More restaurants, high end and mid price (nearly nothing low end on the Vineyard) than you can shake a stick at. More shops to suit the whims of every shopper. If you are awake and wide eyed, chances are you might see the Clintons or Obamas, Senators and Reps, TV, Film, Music and Author celebs. The famous and maybe the infamous. Fireworks, Concerts.
