This trip is one for the books! It started from meeting Rahkel..the homeowner almost 2 years ago on the Inkwell - she was pleasant, kind and very friendly. When my friends and I decided we wanted to go to Martha's Vineyard, I automatically reached out to Rahkel about her property. The business deal was professional from beginning to the end. We absolutely loved the home, it was clean and very spacious - it had all the amenities you would need! You're in walking distance to the Inkwell and Circuit St -

If you are looking for a place to stay in Oak Bluffs check out Cummings Manor! It's in a prime location to the water, the shops and the Oak Bluffs ferry! The host is very attentive and welcoming! The property is plenty spacious for your family vacation and provides all the comforts of home. Our family enjoyed our week long stay there. Going to Martha's Vineyard be sure to look up Cummings Manor in Oak Bluffs! I'm positive you'll enjoy your stay there too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful air conditioned Cummings Manor. A magnificently convenient location within walking distance to the Inkwell Beach, stores, restaurants and entertainment venues on Circuit Ave, Ferry, Shuttle Bus System and places of worship.

Loved cooking in the very well equipped kitchen and sitting/dining out on the porch (rain or shine!!). Comfortably accommodated an extended family of nine (9)! Bedroom balconies offered a nice retreat. Great WiFi. Responsive owner. We'll be back!! show more show less

We stayed here for our family vacation. A family of 8 and the accommodations was perfect! Location was steps from the beach, the ferry and everything we wanted to do! With a well-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, it had everything from beach chairs for lounging and a porch for making family memories! We especially appreciated how all instructions were laid out and easy to navigate, it made our stay a breeze! We look forward to many more stays at this cozy vacation rental!!!

I stayed at Cummings Manor for one week, last year. It wasn't long enough. Accommodations were excellent, immaculate, comfy and close to beach and town. I have stayed at many locations on MV and Cummings Manor was by far the best. Owners are certainly paying attention to detail and have added much needed air conditioning. So happy my family and I will be returning this summer for multiple weeks.

Rented for an extended weekend with family and friends and couldn't have been happier. Cummings Manor is immaculate, well appointed, perfectly located, and has the perfect porch!

We were on island for a family wedding and needed to rent several homes to accommodate everyone; this one was by far the best of our rentals. The new owners clearly spruced up the home, inside and out. They were wonderfully communicative, making sure we had everything we needed - before and during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and it all appeared new. Bathrooms were spotless.

Location-wise, this couldn't be beat for an in town, walking distance to everything, spot. Five-ish minutes walk from the OB ferry docks and two blocks off Circuit Ave on one side and Inkwell Beach in the opposite direction, so everything just minutes away. Our extended family had a wonderful time at this spacious, beautiful, and perfectly located Oak Bluffs gingerbread home.

The first thing to note about this home is its absolutely ideal location: steps from both the Inkwell beach, Ocean Park, and shopping on Circuit Ave - including groceries a five-minute walk away. Despite being so ideally located, there was not much vehicle or foot traffic, unlike the prominent homes on Ocean Ave and Seaview Ave. We often enjoyed just sitting on the spacious porch's rocking chairs saying hello to those who walked by occasionally.

Next is its generous space for a large family. All ten of us easily fit in the dining room for one meal, the porch for another, and in the living room to watch sports on the TV. Other friends on the island visited its enormous porch, particularly when we hosted a birthday BBQ using the grill in the back. The numerous bedrooms let a couple of teens and tweens have their own spaces. My brother-in-law enjoyed using his laptop on the small second floor balcony, where he could watch the whole street as our children played out front. The outdoor shower let beach swimmers rinse off sand and salt before coming inside.

Finally the house is thoughtfully furnished and well stocked. Guests must bring sheets and towels, but everything else is there, from dishes, to pots, pans and cooking utensils (including grilling tools), to the large washer-dryer, all of which we found very helpful.

The hosts were helpful, responsive and attentive. When we emailed about issues ("where is the plunger?), they resolved them right away. When we wanted to stay a second time during a week which was taken, we let them know that was our ideal week - then they notified us immediately when it became available due to a cancellation, so we could book it before any others jumped in. Then when a conflict arose for us, they sincerely made every effort to locate a replacement renter - which succeeded. They really looked out for us and were a joy to work with.
