Brenda's Cottage is a wonderful, family friendly vacation home in a perfect location. It is located near downtown Oak Bluffs, near the library and beaches and even Vineyard Haven, but off the beaten path. It was well equipped for a full house: kitchen layout and set-up were great, and there were all the kitchen tools and appliances we needed for the week. Living spaces on the first floor included the dining and living areas, which had both a large TV as well as games for all ages. The screened in porch was amazing for sitting "outside" to enjoy the quiet and morning breezes without the bugs. Outside the yard had a gas grill, fire pit, and table for eating as well as seating to enjoy the outside. There was plenty of green space in the front and back yards for kids and adults to play or relax.Bedrooms and bathrooms were all supplied with linens, and setup was ideal. Beaches are a big part of our vacation plans, and Brendas Cottage provided plenty of beach towels and beach chairs. There was also a play area with ping pong table. Brenda's Place is the place if you are looking for a spacious, comfortable and well-equipped house. It is a nice walk to shops, restaurants and the Gingerbread Houses. The rooms are all comfortably furnished and everything is spotless. The kitchen comes fully equipped and is set up for family meals. Some conveniences include a first floor washer-dryer, air-conditioning, outdoor shower, baskets of nice beach towels, a beach wagon, chairs & an umbrella. There are a couple of nice bikes, a ping pong table and board games. On a quiet street, with plenty of outdoor seating, a firepit, and a gas grill. The best of all though, is the screened porch. Not only did we enjoy evening cocktails there but also morning coffee and afternoon naps. Perfect for families, girls weekends, or couples. Our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The home was roomy, well kept and had all the amenities you could ask for. The location was quiet and peaceful but walking distance to all the action Oak Bluffs has to offer. We look forward to coming back to Brenda's Cottage next year.

We rented this OB house for our summer vacation with our three teens and could not have been happier! It was walking distance to town and beach, huge yard, beautiful screened in porch, 4 spacious and comfortable bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Also included decks, fire pit, grill - all amenities you could ask for. Nothing was missed with this rental. We will definitely be back!

It was such a pleasure making arrangements with Monet. The size of the house was perfect for our family. The accommodations were excellent. The house is lovely and very comfortable. Each room had its own character which I loved. The house is situated in a quite area not far from the center of town and the beach. One could walk if you are able. The landscape is beautiful. We will be renting again next year

Wanted to stay in Oak Bluffs and a friend suggested this host. She was awesomel Tips for getting to and around island helped me easily navigate as a first timer (I took the ferry over and the house is about a 10 min walk from the Steamship Authority). Host is knowledgeable of the island and her recommendations for shopping, restaurants, and rentals were exactly as described.

House was the perfect retreat for me - a little set back, comfortable, spacious, with lots of natural lighting. Nicely maintained and stocked with essentials, I cooked a couple of times and if I needed anything, it was there (eating breakfast on the screened porch listening to the birds was the reset I didn't know I needed). Beds were comfy and I slept great (I dozed off without realizing it most nights).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brenda's cottage over Mother's Day weekend! The property is gorgeous and so spacious. Our favorite spot hands down was the fire pit as it made for super cozy evenings for girl talk. When we arrived the home was spotless and a nice card and bottle of wine awaited us. The owners made everything available to us in the house and ensured we had propane for the fire pit and grill. The house was nice and spacious as we were a large group; plenty of beds (including a pull out bed and provided air mattress). The beds were so comfortable that one of my aunts took a pic of the tag for the brand so she could purchase one. The owners provided linens, and lots of blankets and extras, which was nice.

One thing to note is that the cottage is on a private drive but super close to everything like Circuit Ave and Inkwell beach. It took us less than 10 minutes to get there from the Vineyard Haven ferry. We fit 3 cars without a problem at the front of the house. There's a stop and shop about 8 minutes away which was very convenient.

I have literally 0 complaints, just wished we didn't have to leave because we had such a great time! Thanks so much for welcoming us into your home and being a part of so many great memories for our first ever mother daughter trip. We hope to visit again every year, maybe when it's a bit warmer so we can enjoy even more of what the Vineyard has to offer! show more show less
