Our Home is a 150+-year-old Gingerbread and offers an authentic experience of life on ''The Vineyard''. There's plenty of space with 5 -bedrooms, 4 baths, a full kitchen, upstairs kitchenette/coffee bar, den, living room, dining room, and outside dining alfresco. Relax in one of the many rocking chairs on the front wrap around porch, or meditate in our Zen garden or take a 2 minute walk into downtown Oak Bluffs or head in the opposite direction - the beach is leisurely 7-minute walk away. We are in the center of everything!

In terms of accessibility, 2 bedrooms (queen beds), the kitchen, living room, dining room and laundry room are located on the first floor. One of the bedrooms on the first floor has its own bathroom, with a second bathroom on the first floor centrally located. On the second floor we have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms - one of which is on-suite bathroom. The kitchenette, den and adjoining balcony, are located on the second floor. Our house sleeps 10.

Over the years, we have met and become lifelong friends with people walking by the house, just sitting on the front porch in one of the many rocking chairs. Our house is truly in the center of everything - just steps from Circuit Avenue, the Beach, epicurean cuisine and nightlife - there's something for everyone!

    Amazing Location. Classic Vineyard House
    Our experience with the owner was great and they were very accommodating to our group. The house is huge and very well located...also rarely do you find a home with 4 bathrooms to expedite getting ready. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

    Host was super responsive! The location is ideal if you want to get to Inkwell, Circuit Avenue, restaurants, and shopping. Can't say enough positive things about the location! Great front porch with ample amount of rocking chairs! Great dining space outdoors as well. There are two en suites and two additional full baths and a huge game room which can accommodate an air mattress with ease! We enjoyed our time as usual!

    We'd been coming to the Vineyard for decades as vacationers and thought maybe we should buy...it took another 10 years working with Carmine, one of the best realtor's on the Vineyard, to find this special property that is centered in the middle of EVERYTHING!

    When we are not on the Vineyard, we enjoy sharing our home with great people and have bee renting for a number of years. A dear friend introduced up to ''I Need A Vacation'' and our hope is that caring people who rent will also find the joy in renting ''The Blue House''.

    What is special about this property?
    This is a 100+ year old Gingerbread House, which was updated when we found her. One of the best features in the front porch, we live on the front porch in the summer! We've actually me some of our best friends just sitting on the front porch talking to vacationers as they are walking to downtown Oak Bluffs or the beach. We enjoy meals outside on the outdoor dining table and meditate in the garden right off the porch...there is a Yogi that lives next door in the summer months. The house itself is full of life and while we've updated the decor, tried to maintain the relaxed Vineyard vibe. It's difficult to convey just how very special our home is, as everyone has their own view, all we can say is see for yourself!

    What is special about your town?
    Oak Bluffs (OB) has a rich history, it is known for it's concentric rings of Gingerbread Cottages, gatherings by the Methodist Church, one of the oldest working carousels, ''The Flying Horses''; abundance of shops, walking/boating tours, epicurean restaurants and shopping. OB, is also know for it's Arts District, where artists near and far exhibit their works and may hold a reception to talk about what inspired them. There are various festivals throughout the summer and fall - Food & Wine, Chocolate, and the Tivoli festival to name a few. There are always scheduled activities and something for everyone to experience!
