I live in Boston with my husband and two children. We love the Vineyard!

What is special about this property?
Life with family and responsibilities means that I appreciate comfort on vacation, and our Oak Bluffs house provides plenty of ease and comfort. My husband loves to sit on the front porch in the morning, drinking his coffee and enjoying nature, including the beautiful view of trees on the town property across the street from our house.

Speaking of coffee, I need my cup in the morning. The full kitchen gives me the choice of a fancy pour over Melitta carafe or a simple Keurig pod. Whatever my mood is, fancy or simple, I have my coffee. Other family members have other food and drink needs. We have a full kitchen, with not only a refrigerator, gas stove, toaster, dishes, pots and pans, plates, and cutlery, but also a blender, food processor, and Instapot. We can cook at home or go to one of the many great nearby restaurants.

Another special comfort my family loves is the outdoor shower. After a day at the beach, I like to shower the sand off. The outdoor shower is large and private, so I can close its door, change out of my swim suit, and shower in peace without worrying about getting sand over everything. Also, there is something magical about showering under the stars.

Last, sleep means a lot to us. Some do not sleep well with light. All of the windows in this house have interior shutters and the bedroom skylights have light blocking cellular shades. Others do not sleep well with heat or humidity, but this lovely house has A/C.

What is special about your town?
From beautiful Ocean Park to the Campground, Oak Bluffs has long been a vacation destination. It is also the most diverse of the Martha's Vineyard towns, with a longtime African American presence.

While I enjoy the culture, history and amenities, my children enjoy the freedom of summer in Oak Bluffs. My oldest likes to walk to town with friends to enjoy the Arcade and ice cream. My youngest likes to explore the beaches during the day and look up at the starry sky at night (less light pollution).
