New listing!!!

Our Unique 3-Bedroom (all-season!) home in sought-after East Chop will add style to your MV retreat experience!

Comfort meets design in our 2-bedroom main house plus detached 1-bedroom/1-bathroom studio. The main house features cathedral ceilings, skylights, and a modern kitchen open to the dining and living areas. The fully equipped kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and an island with induction cooktop and breakfast bar. Windows look out onto wooded grounds, the front deck, and yard beyond.

Island light pours into the open-concept living/dining room, with views of mature trees. A sliding door (with screen) lets in the breeze and provides access to the wrap-around deck and back patio. In hot weather electric mini-splits throughout keep things cool and dry. In cooler weather, our radiant heated floor keeps things cozy.

A steel staircase to the second floor is showcased by a wall of light from the hallway windows. The second floor features an ensuite master bedroom with queen bed and its own balcony deck -- with outdoor shower!

Past the staircase on the first floor is the main bathroom, featuring a no-step tiled shower.

A half level stairway takes you down to the second bedroom, with wooded views, a sliding door to the back patio, and a laundry closet with stacked washer and dryer.

There is Wi-Fi throughout the main house and external bedroom and you can access your streaming services on our flat screen TVs in both main house and the detached ensuite studio bedroom.

Down the front steps and across the patio sits the the spacious external bedroom. It features a king bed, kitchenette (with microwave, sink, and mini-fridge), clawfoot tub with shower, and its own external shower for washing off after leisurely days at the beach.

Front and side yards have lots of space for play, and parking for up to 3 vehicles. An outside EV charger with standard J1772 Connector (plus a Tesla adapter) is available for guest use.

Oak Bluffs is a biking and strolling paradise, and this location is a short distance from the beaches, ferry, bike path, restaurants, harbor activity and public transportation. Less than a mile to Nancy's Restaurant and just short stroll down the hill to Our Market and Winston's Kitchen. Oak Bluffs beach is 1 mile away, and the Inkwell beach is 1.4 miles from our place.

A sophisticated gem close to galleries, beaches, walking trails, and dining. Enjoy a cool drink on the deck or a game of volleyball, badminton, or in our big front yard. Recharge yourselves -- and your EV -- for tomorrow's adventures.

    Beautiful home, perfect location
    July 2025

We loved staying in Oak Bluffs in this beautiful, modern home. The open concept took a day or so for us to adjust, but we really enjoyed sharing this space with our family.

The guest house was perfect for my parents, who stayed with us for the first week of our trip. We loved having a separate space for them to enjoy a different schedule than our kids! The yard with a volleyball net and games was a thoughtful and fun addition.

The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pots and pans and essentials like cooking oil, salt and pepper. The grill was set up and ready to go, which made meal time much easier on vacation! We loved the induction cooktop (we also have one at home!)

Despite the open concept, the layout of the house allowed for enough privacy that my teen and preteen girls were able to find corners for solitude as needed. The house came well stocked with board games, which gave us time to play together as a family! We loved that TVs were installed to blend in, but accessible when needed!

And the location! What fun to be walking distance to town (a little less than a mile to Circuit Avenue) and we took advantage of this frequently! Vineyard Haven is slightly farther, but still walkable if you enjoy a little distance as we do. This property is tucked into a small neighborhood that feels quiet and secluded, but is actually quite close to all of the hubbub of island life.

A few of our favorite places:

Mocha Mott's (OB and Vineyard Haven); often a line but it moves quickly. They have great bagels, pastries, coffee, iced tea.

Nancy's in OB (great options for omnivores and vegetarians/vegans with GF accommodations). We love walking up and eating on the downstairs deck. Upstairs has table service and can easily accommodate large groups!

Nomans also has options for vegetarians and omnivores, GF options and has a great outdoor, family friendly space.

The Black Joy Restaurant was wonderful! I believe it's new this year- please give it a try! The menu can accommodate many dietary needs and the food was delicious. It's a little off the beaten path, but still close and worth the trip!

The Attic in Vineyard Haven pleased all of our picky eaters and was able to accommodate vegan/vegetarian, and gluten free diets.

Barn and Bowl Bistro has great pizza and a great menu variety. Bowling is fun too, though we didn't get there this year!

Breakfast! We enjoyed Biscuits in OB and loved the Art Cliff Diner in Vineyard Haven.

Ice cream! We tried them all!

Our tops: The Nauti Cow (we recommend the vegan soft-serve)
Mad Martha's (we recommend the salted caramel)

If you love a good Lobster Roll- we love Nancy's for the GF option, but if that's not a concern- Menemsha!

If you are interested in Art, there are so many good galleries on the island. Our favorites were in Oak Bluffs (look for the Allison Shaw Gallery- there are a few together there that were great!); the Field Gallery, the Granery Gallery. We loved Althea Designs right across from the Art Cliff Diner.

    Beaches!
The beach right in the harbor in Oak Bluffs is great for kids and easy access to bathrooms and town for families that don't do well sitting at a beach all day!

Some of us love jumping off the jaws bridge beach!

Lambert's Cove for sunset is beautiful but was very crowded this year!

Longpoint- you need a trustees of reservation pass and to make a reservation, but this is our favorite off the beaten path beach! Great waves for the adventure seekers and a calmer pond for a calmer water experience.

Thank you again for sharing your home! We had a wonderful vacation and hope to be back soon!

    Comfortable modern retreat
    July 2025

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property from the moment we opened the door. It is well-designed and has a spacious feel. Amenities are top notch. With two separate buildings, we were able to have the ideal space for each member of our family.

Renting was simple, and communication with the owners was easy. Highly recommend.

I was raised with a love of special communities nestled against the sea. Born in Rio de Janeiro to parents who enjoyed Ipanema's rich beach culture, I was brought up in New England with a love for our own charming port towns. My partner is from the beautiful island nation of the Philippines. For over twenty years, we have rented our family homes -- in the U.S. and in Rio -- to vacationers (and sometimes to lingerers) who share our love of vibrant seaside communities that offer more than just beaches and umbrella drinks.

What is special about this property?
From the moment we saw this house, we knew we had found our place on Martha's Vineyard! A house with style and a point of view: modern lines, an open floor plan and cathedral ceilings designed to let in the island light. Clad in the traditional cedar shingles and clapboarding of the island, this eye-catching gem could be considered ''modern Martha's Vineyard.''

The house's design celebrates its natural surroundings with lots of windows, bedroom access to the outside, and even a main bedroom balcony with its own outdoor shower: It invites you out to explore the island, or simply to slow down and soak up some sun with a book on the deck. The detached studio bedroom/bathroom -- the original structure -- is perfect for a couple seeking privacy, or a place for the kids to have their own bedroom clubhouse while the adults relax in the main house.

We're set back from New York Avenue -- which provides easy access to Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven shopping and ferries -- in serene East Chop. We're just minutes from downtown Oak Bluffs downtown, restaurants and galleries, shops and beaches. Our neighbors are a mix of seasonal renters and year-rounders. Generations of families have spent their summers here, enjoying the island pace and the safety and serenity of Martha's Vineyard.

What is special about your town?
Oak Bluffs, or "OB" as the locals call it, is one of Martha's Vineyard's busiest and most bustling towns. OB offers something for everyone, and during the summer months, everyone wants to be here.

Oak Bluffs boasts miles of public beaches, ponds, several accessible parks, bike paths, a busy seasonal waterfront and downtown district, a golf course, expansive hiking trails, rich arts and cultural offerings, and more.

Oak Bluffs' history is immersed in African American history, as the town has long been a safe haven and summer sanctuary for the Black community. Visitors can take the African-American Heritage Trail Walking Tour which is made up of 30 sites where descriptive plaques have been placed in dedication of the formerly unrecognized contributions made by people of African descent to the history of the island.

Oak Bluffs has long provided inspiration to artists and writers from all walks of life. Browse the galleries of Circuit Avenue and Dukes County Avenue, as well as visit the Oak Bluffs Open Market every Sunday in the summer months. OB is also home to the year-round Featherstone Center for the Arts, which offers gallery exhibits, art classes, and special events in the summer including outdoor concerts. The MV film festival is a summertime delight with drive-in screenings.

The bike ride from Oak Bluffs to Edgartown (and beyond, to South Beach!) along Seaview Ave and Beach Road offers spectacular views of the ocean on one side and Sengekontacket Pond on the other.
