    Perfect Nantucket Home To Rent

Quiet and cozy, this home provided the perfect Nantucket getaway. It had everything you would need, is very clean and well kept. The caretaker and owner are immediately available if anything is needed. Centrally located, it is a short ride to downtown, nice beaches and grocery stores. Sunsets on the back deck were a great way to cap off a wonderful day. I highly recommend staying here!

    Perfect home

This home could not have been more perfect for our needs. The photos do not do it justice.
The kitchen had absolutely every comfort and necessity we needed. The appliances are modern and up to date, including the washer and dryer.

Beds were super comfortable. Towels and linens were fresh and plentiful.

We loved walking to Bartlett farm for our morning coffee and sandwiches for the beach.
Cisco was a perfect walk for a visit without needing a car.

There are great beach chairs available at the house. No need to pack anything.
The big kitchen table is perfect for scrabble or puzzles for the rainy day.

Can't wait to return in 2024!!!

    Amazing Vacay!!!

Upon arrival to Nantucket, a bit early...We were all set to check-in!!! The cottage was ready, immaculate and super pretty!! The cottage was well stocked with Everything you could imagine... Beach supplies, Chairs, Grill outside, Deck was grand for eating out, hanging out and relaxing. The doggies loved the large yard for running and playing, it was so quiet out there!! The close proximity to Cisco- beach and Brewery were grand, as well as Miacomet golf club-public- which was a little GEM! I would definately return to this vacation home!!!! show more show less

    Cisco Cape

This cape on Nantucket was perfectly situated for myself and my family during our week long stay on the island, a short walk to Cisco Brewers, Bartlett Farms, 167 Raw and a short drive to downtown. Unfortunately, we found the property to be very dated and dirty. The listing had a lot of promise but fell short once we arrived.

    Gabriella,

Thank you for your honest feedback. As it was a busy holiday weekend, our normal cleaning crew was not available, and we apologize that our home's condition was not up to its usual standards. We will keep your feedback in mind as we continue to make improvements for the 2023 season and future guests. Thanks for staying with us, and if you choose to give us another chance to make things right, we'd love to make your next experience with us a great one. Thank you!

My husband and I have been coming back to this delightful home for years! It's a cozy, comfortable, clean, well laid out home in a fantastic location! We love that its such a short bike ride (or even a walk) to the beach, Cisco Brewery, and the bus station!

    Excellent property

I had the pleasure of staying at this home during July. It was fantastic!! It had everything you need, and we wanted for nothing. It is very close to Miacomet Beach which you can walk to. The house itself is wonderful -- it is very open and bright. The 3 bedrooms are nice and cozy. It also has a great deck and feels very private....we enjoyed several BBQs with our family. It is located in a great area on the island -- close to Bartlett Farm, Cisco Brewery and town is a short drive. I highly recommend this great home! show more show less

It was through reading a venerable old book on the history of The Society of Friends that we first became acquainted with the island of Nantucket, which lay thirty miles east of mainland Massachusetts in the Atlantic Ocean. Nantucket was populated by Native Americans for centuries before being joined by a tiny handful of English settlers with names like Starbuck, Macy, and Gardner. These names are still common on Nantucket today.

If one word were synonymous with the name of Nantucket, it would be ''WHALES''. From the catching of the first sperm whale off the north shore of the island in the 17th century, a great fleet numbering hundreds of vessels circumnavigated in the globe in search of whales, and perhaps the most valuable commodity of all things in the American economy - Whale Oil.

In less than 200 years, Nantucket and its inhabitants became the richest people in America. Their wealth,
homes, gardens, cobbled streets, shops, restaurants, museums, and natural beauty of the moors are unmatched.

And the spectacular sunsets from the deck of 99 Somerset are absolutely unforgettable.

What is special about this property?
99 Somerset is located less than 1/2 mile drive to Miacomet Beach, or a brisk 20 minute bike ride or walk.
The house is situated 3 blocks from Miacomet Public Golf Course, one of the 2 public golf courses on the island. All others are paid, Members Only.

What is special about your town?
We are in a very desirable location, close to Nantucket town, and a short walk (1/2 block) up our road to the commuter bus stop which serves the entire island. Our bike paths are well maintained and connected to the wider island bicycle system. The Miacomet beach is one of the few beaches that supports a daily lifeguard.

The Bartlett Farm gourmet foods and vegetable market is also within walking and biking distance. It offers delicious take-out meals on a daily basis and a large variety of organic fruits and vegetables. Their wine selection
    includes domestic and international varieties.
