This cozy, updated West End cottage has beautiful harbor views. There are multiple living areas inside and out. The property is air-conditioned, newly furnished, and located about 50 yards from the public pier - a great spot to launch kayaks or a small boat. This quaint cottage provides modern amenities, new furnishings, and the perfect setting to enjoy a summer vacation.

First Floor: From a large yard with water views is the front porch which is complete with a dining table and a grill. You enter into a kitchen and living room area with all new appliances including a dishwasher, washer-dryer, and a flat-screen TV. The master has a cathedral ceiling, its own air conditioning zone, and a queen bed. A built-in Queen bed comprises the second bedroom which is also air-conditioned. A third, small bedroom is accessed from the living room area and has a 74'' standard lofted twin bunk and a day bed beneath.

There is a shared full bath with a cast iron tub, a half bath accessed from the kitchen with private access from the master and the back deck has an outdoor shower. In the kitchen, there is bartop seating for three.

Located at the opposite end of a large lot is another rental home. The cottage may be rented separately, or when the houses are rented together, it serves as the perfect space for extra guests. This is a NON-Smoking House and Pets are not permitted.

    Little Place with giant outdoors
    My wife and 7 year old spent four weeks at the house and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property was spotless and well laid out. What impressed us most about the place was its outdoor space and location. The large deck, surrounded by flowering plants with partial views of the bay (about 100 feet away), was a great place to spend time. We spent afternoons grilling and watching the boats float by and saw incredible sunsets from the public dock. We were able to walk to Millie's and Madaket beach. The bike path, bus stop, and public dock are also within 100 feet of the property. I had to spend a few days working from home and found the Wi-Fi completely acceptable. We stayed at several places on the island, and so far, this house has offered us the best Nantucket experience. And btw, the owner is a great guy who was immensely helpful during our stay.

    Since the property was purchased in 2012, it has been consistently renovated and updated. There are harbor views from both houses and both floors.

    Some renters have even brought or rented their own kayaks, sailboats, and paddleboards which can be easily launched at the town pier at the end of our driveway.

    What is special about this property?
    We have owned property on the Island since 2004 but it took us 9 years to find the perfect spot and that spot is 8 F Street in Madaket.

    It is our favorite place on the Island because you have quiet, proximity to the beach, the harbor, and Millie's bar and market and you can still take advantage of all Nantucket town has to offer only a short shuttle or car ride away.

    What is special about your town?
    Madaket is known for its legendary sunsets and great beaches. Millie's restaurant only a third of a mile away is known for the sunsets which can be viewed directly from your home. Madaket is quiet and private, there is great bus service at the end of the block next to the bike path that runs to the rotary. The streets are great for youngsters to learn to ride a bike on the quite untraveled roads.
