More About Quidnet

The hamlet of Quidnet is located at the eastern end of Nantucket Island with views of Sesachacha Pond, Sankaty Lighthouse, and the Atlantic Ocean. These neighborhoods include homes built in the early years of Island residence, as well as recently built homes with all the amenities.

Quidnet is unusual in that it offers two kinds of beaches separated by a narrow spit of land. On one side is the quiet beach of Sesachacha Pond, a warm, salt water pond fed by the ocean during high tides. This beach is more protected from the winds, and the water is warm and calm, making it ideal for children, windsurfing, and small boat sailing. Or, walk 100 yards over the dune and you have the opportunity to enjoy the Atlantic oceanfront beach with gentle waves. Here you can swim, go for long walks, or fish.
