Cape Cod Baseball League Players Recite the "Field of Dreams" Speech

One thing for sure about Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket: It’s a region steeped in tradition. Whether it’s a family vacation to the same home each summer, a bonfire on the beach every 4th of July, or even yelling, “I see it” at the first site of the Bridge, these rituals seem to be embedded in our culture here. But for many of us, one tradition that stands out from the rest is the Cape Cod Baseball League.

We’ve written articles and posts about the history of the Cape Cod Baseball League and have noted players who have gone on to play for our beloved Red Sox, but this time we wanted to take a slightly different approach: pair the most historic amateur baseball league with one of the most iconic baseball movies of all time.

Although none of the players filmed were even alive when Field of Dreams first hit the big screen in 1989, they nailed every memorable line!
