Family vacations are all about bonding with family members – among those members, your pets! Below, we’ve listed a few special spots you can enjoy with your furry friends as well as some places you can stay on the Cape that are pet friendly.

Paw Palooza:

It’s all about Fido at this major pet event happening in July of 2020! Once again, Cape Cod will host the region’s largest dog festival! Put on by The Agway of Cape Cod Charitable Foundation, the event will benefit the Cape’s two largest animal shelters—the MSPCA in Centerville and the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s shelter in Brewster. Enjoy events such as the thrilling DockDogs® tournament, Mike Piazza and his team of high flying Frisbee, and K-9 units from the Barnstable County Sheriff and Yarmouth Police Departments showcasing the skills of their working patrol dogs! The Cape is full beautiful parks and open spaces! Below is a short list of perfect outside locations to take your furry family member.

Nickerson State Park (Brewster):This 1,900+ acre park has some of the best dog hiking trails and swimming ponds on the Cape! Learn More

Fresh Pond Dog Park in Dennis: A fenced in park with two enclosed areas, this spot is located next to a swimming pond with a ½ mile dog hiking trail in woods. Learn More

Falmouth Dog Park: There are two fenced in areas on this 1.6 acre site, one for large dogs and one for small ones. Learn More

Pilgrim Bark Park in Provincetown: Ranked 2nd best dog park in America, it has a dog water fountain, dog memorial and even a dog art gallery! Learn More
