Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra Debut Performance

About Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra Debut Performance...In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra and the Cape Cod Writers Center present a concert of song and music inspired by poetry. This concert will feature Cape poet Judith Askew with the premiere of a musical setting of her poetry "Here at the Edge of the Sea" by composer Francis Snyder. The musical program also includes the music of Debussy, Elgar, Grieg, and Metropolitan Opera New England Regional Finalist Zaray Rodriguez singing Mahler's Songs of a Wayfarer.

Student poetry from Monomoy Regional High School will also be displayed and recognized at the concert.
