In honor of National Trails Weekend and Great Outdoors® Month
NEW: Hiking Challenge for Kids and Adults
West Barnstable, MA – Celebrate Great Outdoors Month® as Barnstable Land Trust (BLT) kicks-off its annual Hike Barnstable programs this June. With support from Cape Cod Healthcare, program highlights include a lady slipper walk, a "tech and trail hike", author talks, a Thoreau Community Readathon, several volunteer days, a beach clean-up, a solstice labyrinth walk, a Nordic walking clinic, a bog restoration program, and a day of field games and geocaching to celebrate the end of the school year. About Hike Barnstable: Hike Barnstable returns this June in celebration of Great Outdoors Month: a nationally recognized celebration of America's public lands and waters and the many ways to enjoy them. Sponsored in part by Cape Cod Healthcare, BLT's month-long celebration encourages people of all ages and abilities to get outside, get some fresh air, and explore the Town of Barnstable's natural spaces through a wide range of activities, hikes, talks, and walks. With over a wide variety of programs to choose from, BLT's Hike Barnstable invites everyone to experience nature.
