Before and After Examples of Vacation Rental Photography

Becky Fischer | 5/22/2017

This is an especially busy time of year for our marketing team. We are traveling to all parts of the Cape to photograph and video homes to help homeowners improve their listings. (We’ve now worked in over 550 homes!) The truth is, we all need to “up our game” to succeed in the growing rental industry where vacationers have more homes to choose from.

Here are a few “Before and After” examples of homes I have photographed in the last year. If you are interested in learning more, please visit our marketing page or email me at Becky@weneedavacation.com.

Edgartown Vacation Rental

MV

Tip – Frame the picture well. Try not to cut off parts of the furniture.

Orleans Vacation Rental

Orleans

Tip - Turn on all the lights in the room. Remember, we’re trying to make the house look as bright and summer-like as possible!

Falmouth Vacation Rental

Falmouth

Tip – Take a step back and open the shades. Windows are hard. If possible, focus the camera to pick up some greenery through the windows.

West Falmouth Vacation Rental

Dining-27096

Tip – Do some simple staging. Set the dining room table, put out flowers. Definitely make all the beds!

About Becky Fischer

About Becky Fischer: I've worked for WeNeedaVacation since 2003, providing photography, video, and consultation services to vacation rental homeowners. Over the years, I've photographed more than 700 homes across the Cape and Islands. My husband and I moved to Brewster with our three children in 2006. I grew up outside Boston, spent childhood summers on Nantucket, and was married in Orleans. Some of my favorite things about Cape life include walking the CCRT, taking deep breaths at the beach, discovering new coffee shops, and supporting our schools and community events.
