Photos & Description

Our cottage sits in the middle of Plymouths Long Beach. Plymouth Beach is a 3-mile peninsula that juts out into Cape Cod Bay to protect Plymouth Harbor from the open ocean. The Pilgrims chose Plymouth because of the protection Plymouth Beach gives to the harbor. While renting our cottage you will enjoy not only the open ocean but also the protected inner harbor. A stones throw away to the east is the ocean with the incredible sunrises and to the west is the harbor and the gorgeous sunsets. There is nothing like waking up at the beach while on vacation. Why pack the family for the beach when you can wake up there? Many of our renters tell us they came to our cottage because it would be a great jumping off point for trips to Boston or the Cape but they never leave the beach because it has it all. We have rented our cottage “Sea Legs” for 16 years. We have many families that come back year after year. The land has been in our family since the 1600s.
We leave two kayaks with the cottage for you to enjoy. Take a paddle over to the Plymouth waterfront and listen to a concert while paddling between the boats. Paddle next to the Mayflower and the Plymouth Rock. Take a fishing rod and catch some tasty striped bass to bring back to grill on the Weber grill. Bring your own boat and moor it next to the cottage on our private mooring. Plymouth has dozens of fine restaurants within a couple miles drive or just stroll down the beach to Stoneforge for dinner and cocktails. Eat your breakfast and have your morning coffee on the decks.
Our cottage has one big room upstairs with curtains you can draw for privacy. This makes for two bedrooms with 2 full beds. Pull the curtains back during the day for panoramic ocean and harbor views. Four-wheel drive vehicles are required for your stay. It’s a dirt road so all wheel drive cars with ground clearance are fine.
Plymouth has tons of things to do for couples and families. Not many towns have the golf courses Plymouth has. Whale watches, fishing charters, tourist attractions you name it. Plimoth Plantation is a mile away from the cottage.
If you like saltwater fishing than this is the spot for you. Watch the stripers and blues splash their way up the beach on both sides. Casting from the shore or fishing from the kayak is within steps of the cottage. My first striper from the kayak was 46 inches long and I've been hooked ever since.Nothing more relaxing than kayaking in the harbor. Its a great paddle over to Plymouths waterfront with concerts and attractions.
We have the best hammock on the South Shore. Some people even sleep on it. Stop by our country store for some fresh corn, lobster, clams and Ben & Jerrys ice cream just a couple miles away. There is plenty of privacy with the next cottage 1/4 mile down the beach. Call for last minute getaways. Minutes from the crazy city life waits our hammock and kayaks.
The town has plenty of activities for all including great concerts across the harbor.

Staying at this cottage is hard to describe because it just exceeds
all of your expectations. Once we pull up to the house, we hardly
ever leave - and only to buy more groceries. In the mornings, you
can sit on one of two decks out front and have an unobstructed
view of the sun rising above the ocean. The cottage has massive
windows so that even if you are inside, you just glance up and will
see the ocean or the bay with an amazing array of birds - heron, />swans, finches, plovers... You can sit behind the house on the bayside
for hours and never see another human being. You can drag the two
kayaks into the bay and drift in the water or paddle over to Plymouth
Harbor for lunch. The remainder of an afternoon can be spent reading,
sunbathing, playing horseshoes or walking the beach... And for dinner,
you can grill on the back deck while watching the sun set over town.
We have rented this cottage multiple times a year for 13 years straight!
And for those readers in the Boston area, it is a hassle free 45 minute
drive from the city - with no bridge or Cape traffic.

WOW! What a great house. Pics are acurate, the house was clean, the linens were fresh and the beds were of good quality. Ad didn't mention it was a "green house", but everything ran very smoothly. Plymouth was relaxing, the food good, and we just had a great time. You won't believe the sunset."

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at " Sea Legs" ! The property was well kept up, very clean and lovingly cared for! It was well equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation. The beach was quiet and peaceful and the sunrises and sunsets from the front and rear decks, as well as EVERY WINDOW in the house, were truly exquisite. The kayaks provided offered a great way to travel around the bay and the Harbor as well as offered us the opportunity to do some great fishing!! We absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a great vacation! We have already recommended it to our extended family members and friends! The owner, Wedge Bramhall, is very personable and delightful!"show moreshow less

We traveled a long way and our expectations where very high when we came to this house on the beach. The house, beach and the welcome was a dream come true very much more than any expextation. We had a wonderful week with long walks in the sand, kayaking, trips to Plymouth and lobster for dinner! We talk about that week at home on long dark swedish winter evenings and we all all say "next time we ..." Susanne, Janne, Jimmy and Sophie"
