Quaint 'Sconset cottage, short walk to ocean or town center. Sleeps 8.
This rose-covered 'Sconset cottage has history. Dating back to the early 19th century when 'Sconset was a fishing village, the house has an antique feel, harking back to a simpler time. Owned for years by a local artist, it is scattered with paintings (landscape, abstract, still-life). Unusual construction features and a bright and cheerful color scheme combine to create a unique charm. The bedrooms include two with twin beds (one, the Master, upstairs with half bath). Two more (one a loft) have single beds, and the fifth bedroom has a full-size bed. Note that loft bedroom has a low ceiling and is reached by a ladder from the living room via a small doorway. It appeals to children, or could work for a small, agile, adult. High speed internet & cable television have been added, so despite the old fashioned feel you can stay in the here and now.

Front door entry has 2 steps. Back door entry no steps, but entry-way is brick and uneven. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (one with shower stall) on the ground floor. Doorways are narrow.
