This small beach is a wonderful spot for children. There is a small brook(can be crossed easily on foot) that divides the beach making it fun place to children to explore. Plan to get there early as it is a popular beach.

The easiest walk to the beach after a short tram ride down to the shore. Great parking area too.

Herring Pond's water is like velvet. Its small public beach attracts a friendly, local crowd. Great Pond is nice also but, for active swimmers, the roped off swimming area limits where you can swim.

Motor vehicles are not allowed on Herring Pond, so long swims are possible. There is a small beach. Town of Eastham is monitoring water quality carefully to control over growth as much as possilbe. My favorite place to swim on the Cape.
