Located at the end of Barn Hill Road off Route 28, public and private parking is easily available. Local wildlife here is part of local conservation as the river offers a spectacular sanctuary for birds and sea life alike which can be seen closely when kayaking here. We also rent stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) for various degrees of experience.

We went kayaking and paddleboarding at the Chatham Kayak Company last week and it was great. John was very knowledgeable about Chatham and its waters and gave those of us on paddleboards excellent lessons before we went out. Would definitely recommend this.It is right on Oyster River and if you go out to Stage Harbor you can go through the cut to Nantucket Sound and Hardings beach. If you don't want to pay parking at Hardings, this is a much more fun way to get there. Also, you can pull up on a deserted beach and have the beach to yourself.
