No question: Best Restaurant on Cape Cod
7/7/2011

We have been eating at Chillingsworth for over 15 years - in fact it has become our Thanksgiving tradition for 10+ straight years- and well worth the trip from Toronto for Chillingsworth alone.

The menu is inspired, the preparation and presentation always perfect, and our service has had a very minor hiccup on only one occasion in 20 plus visits, but otherwise perfect - warm - attentive and just the right degree of familiarity. Menu suggestions from staff always reliable.

The biggest - the only - complaint is that It is never possible to actually choose and not feel you are missing something spectacular. The menu offers a sufficient selection that the difficulty becomes paring the choices down even to just two - and then sharing.

Native seafood, beef or fowl - all expertly done, and with sometimes unexpected (or previously untried? ) combinations or accompaniments that always seem to work. Phenomenal soups - hot or cold - and desserts to die for. Vegetables are crisp, and nothing ever soggy. Net - Never had a meal that was less than a 10.

Great wine list - reasonably priced. And overall, the entire meal a ridiculously good value.

Chef Nitzi and his team never disappoint. Highest possible recommendation.

Bistro is okay, restaurant is 1950's
6/10/2011

And they're both overpriced. Nice atmosphere, and good food in the Bistro. The main restaurant is REALLY overpriced, and it looks and tastes like it's still in the 1950's.
