Built in 1905 and recently renovated by a Boston interior designer, this pristine, white-washed cottage has retained its Olde Cape Charm. Once called the Honeymoon Cottage by early renters, the cottage, nestled among walkways, gardens, trees and birdsong, is set back from the road on 2.5 acres of land.
Don your swimsuit and walk across the street to swim in the freshwater of Scargo Lake, or stroll to Corporation Beach, less than a half-mile away. The other local bay beaches, Mayflower and Chapin, stretch long and are not to be missed at sunset. If you tire of beaching it, take a stroll into town to the Cape Cod Playhouse, America's oldest professional summer theater, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, or choose from several galleries, restaurants, and shops. Adventurers could bike on the famous Cape Cod Rail Trail, which begins in Dennis and extends to Provincetown, or ferry out to Nantucket for the day from nearby Harwich Port.
