Rent an American Classic. This five-bedroom home sleeps ten comfortably. Built in 1867, this Sea Captain's home is one of a kind and provides a unique New England feel. Three sitting rooms, two patios, and two porches allow the group to spread out. Exceptionally bright and breezy, there are large windows and hardwood floors throughout. The downstairs features a large kitchen, dining room, bedroom, family room, living room, and full bath. There are four bedrooms, a tv room, and a bath upstairs. There are two staircases and the stairs are steep and treads are narrow (railings are good but they may not be suitable for elderly or young children).
The heated pool is completely fenced in and locked for safety. The spacious, private yard features two patios and ample furniture. With every convenience close by, this house is in the heart of the historic district. Walk to Grand Cove, the playground, Three Fins coffee house, Holly's deli, a cozy restaurant (Clean Slate), Taco stand, and Ardoe's (Italian restaurant). The go-carts, trampolines, batting cages, bumper cars, kayak rentals are all approximately .5-3 miles away. South Village Beach (mouth of the Swan River-great for boogie boards) and West Dennis Beach (lots of parking and located at the mouth of the Bass River) are both just 1.3 miles down the street. Central location facilitates trips to Hyannis, Chatham, Provincetown. You must bring your own towels and sheets or rent them. I provide beach chairs and coolers. There is central a/c on the second floor (4 bedrooms), one large window a/c downstairs in the family room, and a window a/c in the downstairs bedroom. read more show less
