We stayed at Sunshine on the Water for a week in August. This cottage was perfect for my husband and I and our daughter. It had everything we needed, including chairs, umbrellas. It is beautiful and clean, inside and out. My daughter and husband enjoyed paddle boarding at the pond almost daily. The beaches were a short drive and absolutely beautiful.

This is a great little cape getaway that has everything you need! Located in a great spot with beautiful views of Flax pond. CLEAN when we arrived. Plenty of beach toys/chairs/accommodations to use, outdoor shower was key for us (two small kids). We loved the trail to the little private beach on the pond. The backyard is great for BBQ'ing on a nice summer night. Sarahbeth stocks this rental with everything you need! We had a great time and will definitely rent again. Thanks for a great stay!

Sunshine on the Water was one of the best Cape rentals we"ve secured in 20 years! The owners are extremely attentive, and the home wanted for nothing. It is meticulously well-appointed and beautifully decorated. It is a five minute drive to so many attractions including the most beautiful beaches on the Cape, a world-class live theater, and the boutique shopping that defines Route 6A. We have to add that this cottage comes with the best outdoor shower we"ve ever used.

We stayed at Sunshine on the Water for a week at the end of August 2016. This cottage was perfect for my husband and I and our two boys, ages 3 years and 9 months old. It had everything we needed, including chairs, umbrellas, toys for the kids, and a beach cart (which we had no idea we needed, but it became a necessity for our beach outings!). It is beautiful and clean, inside and out. My 3 year old loved playing at the edge of the pond, which also was perfect for swimming. It took 10 minutes (maybe less?) to get to the beaches, so it was a perfect location.

The owner, Sarahbeth, is incredibly organized and friendly. She was available to answer any questions we had, but since she had all the logistics under control, we really didn't have many questions anyway. We've rented from the Persiani family for 5 years now, at their previous "Seashell Cottage" and at their new place just this year, and its always been a pleasure. In terms of rental logistics, Sarabeth is on top of things and takes extra care to ensure your family is prepared and comfortable. The cottage is amazingly equipped with plenty of towels, blankets, dishes and cookware and little things you wouldn't think of like spices or coffee filters, or even Ziploc bags. The place is always clean upon arrival (and Sarabeth always calls to ensure this is the case) and beautifully decorated.

The house is PERFECT for our family of four - there's lots of common area (big living room, kitchen, and dining area) for everyone to spread out, without being on top of each other. The view of the pond from the front windows was a wonderful way to wake up each day. The house exterior is so nicely cared for with beautiful flowers and outdoor furniture so you can lounge and relax. The outdoor shower is a personal favorite - its clean and spacious, even with a changing room which is great for when you return from the beach. The bathroom is huge! It was super for our family of 4, as it seems like we're always in there together. A nice big bath, double sink and laundry. We have two girls (4 and 7) who very much appreciated the kids movies, books, games, and toys that they found upon arrival. Cable and wireless are a nice bonus and the central AC was a fantastic surprise, given the record heat during our stay. Our kids loved swimming in the pond (mere steps from the cottage) and did so every day. The location of the cottage has great proximity to several other beaches or local attractions.

For a family of 4 you can't go wrong here - absolutely an amazing value and so nicely kept by the family that cares for it. Thanks for another fun summer! show more show less

My family and I enjoyed every minute of our vacation, thanks to Sarabeth. The house is the perfect size for a small family and being steps away from the warm, clean pond made taking a dip after a day at bayside beaches perfect. We hope to come back again next year!

We stayed here for a full week in June 2016. Sarah is very friendly, informative and so great to chat with. Their home is a classic Cape home and my kids and I enjoyed it. The backyard was fenced in and perfect for them to play outside, lounge in the hammock, or have lunch on the outdoor patio. The neighbors are friendly, and the neighborhood was quiet enough that they could ride their scooters in the street with no worries, while I relaxed in the Adirondack chair in the front yard. The pond across the house was very clean and provided hours of fun. Bring a kayak or some tubing for extra fun! Less then 3 miles away was EVERYTHING we could need. The Dennis market is a one stop have it all kind of place. Right across from it is homemade delicious ice cream with a nice outdoor patio. We went to Mayflower Beach with no problems at all, and its gorgeous low tides provided hours of exploring and a great beach day.

When you come home, the house has everything you need to cook dinner, or order take out! The living room is very spacious (more so than in the picture) and the couch was very comfy! The breeze off the pond was amazing, and we hardly needed to use the central air. I could go on and on about our vacation and this house. But what I can say is that I will book again in the future! The house is so clean, beautiful and had everything we truly needed. Its not smack in the hustle and bustle, so there was no traffic, and 6A is great to explore! My husband, son, and I rented for a week! Sarahbeth was there upon our arrival, which was really nice to get to meet her in person :-) We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the quick ride to my parents' place they were renting by Mayflower Beach. The cottage was very clean and a perfect size for our little family! We can't wait to return for another stay. We were first time renters, and Sarahbeth was quick to respond to any questions we had whether it was by email or phone :-)
